Alternative Baroque-pop songwriter Soren Anders will be performing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher St, NYC) on April 20, 2009 at 7:30pm.  The event, benefitting the Church of St. Luke in the Fields, is hosted by Robyn Cradles and Deryck Todd, and will also feature the rock act Dandy Pants, among others.  Tickets vary in price and can be purchased in advance at www.ticketcentral.com, by phone at (212) 279-4200, or by visiting the Lucille Lortel Box Office.  Tickets will also be available at the door.  All tickets include a post-performance buffet and champagne reception at The Church of St. Luke in The Fields.

Hailing from New York, Soren is a composer, singer, producer, and instrumentalist. Drawing from influences such as Regina Spektor, Björk, Andrew Bird, and classical composers like Maurice Ravel, Soren has created an innovative sound that ranges from dark reflection on “The Thorn In The Side Of A Boy,” which has quickly become a fan favorite because of its allusions to The Smiths’ “The Boy With A Thorn In His Side,” to quirky radio-friendly singles like “Proof Conjecture.” All of the new songs and remixes are available on iTunes.
