In A Walking Shadow, Sherry Yanow and Deborah Fezelle have penned an intriguing story that blends romance, crime and mystery in perfect measure. These two talented authors bring you into the world of Broadway theatre, a venue they both know very well. This is a captivating story whose characters must deal with the known and the unknown. It is a book that you will not only enjoy, but want to share with your friends.

A Walking Shadow is a thriller that centers on the character of Nick McDeare, a mystery writer and investigative reporter. McDeare is engaged to marry the renowned Broadway star, Jessie Kendle on New Year's Eve. He uncovers evidence that the father of Kendle's young son has fabricated his own death and is conspiring with the Mafia to kidnap the boy. As McDeare races against time to save the child, the tension builds as each of the characters in the story faces true danger. A Walking Shadow is set against the glitz and glamour of The Great White Way, perfect staging for the clever twists and turns of the plot.

Author collaborations can be tricky, but Yanow and Fezelle prove that they know how to smoothly execute a story together, embellishing it with just the right detail as they execute a well-tuned voice for fine mystery writing. This is not their first novel. In fact, The Walking Shadow is a sequel to their last thriller, The Evil that Men Do.

Sherry Yanow is the author of Cooper's Last Stand, an award-nominated Harlequin romance. She has also been a film and theater critic and an avid soap-opera buff, hosting a soap-opera message board.

Deborah Fezelle trained as an actress at Juilliard in New York City. For 25 years she worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in regional theaters around the country. She began writing at the age of 10, when she penned her first play.

Yanow and Fezelle began a writing collaboration that has spanned over 10 years, including six staged plays, two web series and their two novels. We can only hope that their creative collaboration continues and that another one of their thrilling mystery books is in the works.
