PERFORMANCES:

All's Well That Ends Well
One of Shakespeare's problem plays, All's Well That Ends Well explores the relationship between desire, consent, and power. This disarming play features one of Shakespeare's most underrated heroines, Helena, as she pursues the love of the unlikable Bertram. In its representation of seduction and power, this play asks how far we'll go for the one we want and who do we become when we get him?

Juliet and Romeo
Adapted by Samantha Rehr
Directed by Skylar Fox
When choices are a privilege, who wouldn't risk everything to make some? Girl meets boy in this spare, biting adaptation, giving a fresh view into the forces that make us who we are when we are becoming the people we will be: our strange bodies, the strange people around us, and the best bad pop music.

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar
By having the audience play the central character of the play - the Roman people, this bare bones adaptation of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar deals with the leader's ability to manipulate the people and the community's involvement in the political life. It highlights the responsibility and power that an individual has to change things, by forcing the audience to choose between passive spectatorship and active participation.

Macbeth; A Walking Shadow
Co-Directed by Hayley Cartee and Aiden Dreskin
What happens when we turn the lights off, inhibiting what we can see of ourselves and others? How much of our identity is the mask we put on to appease the people around us? By incorporating tropes from the horror and dark-comedic genres, and playing with shadows and sounds, our aim is to cast this story of murder and deception in a new light. Together, we will explore the classic tale of the Scottish King: Macbeth; A Walking Shadow.

Measure for Measure
Although written in 1623, Measure for Measure is still happening now, in Trump's America. Using only lighting and costume, the text highlights the similarities between Isabellas' circumstances and the conditions faced by women in 2017
after a man accused of rape and sexual assault became the President of the United States.

Pericles
Pericles is the story of love and loss, forgetting and finding, losing your home and learning to make a new one. It's a
story that's been lost in an attic - we're moving out of the house and unpacking old boxes when we come across a weird old story and get swept away. It's performed by no more than four actors, a card table, and a bunch of stuff in boxes- think Krapp's Last Tape meets Tiny Ninja Theater.

12th Night OR What You Will
Directed by Nikolai Mishler
Set in the abstracted dressing room of The Brick, an all-female ensemble will play out this raucous comedy in a makeshift manner. Focused on the societal constructs of personal identity-and our autonomy within those expectations-the characters do 'what they will' and decide for themselves how they are perceived. Prepare for original music, majestic buffoonery, and sincere love.
