"Holidays at the 'hills," an exciting new musical revue is coming to Foothills Theatre December 6-28, 2008!

"Holidays at the 'hills" is a musical revue of song and dance all fashioned around the winter season, the holidays, and New Years Eve. Foothill's Artistic Director Russell Garrett and Musical Arranger Jim Rice have put together an evening of non-stop music and dance to lift the spirits during this sometimes stressful time of year.

"I'm extremely excited to offer Holidays at the 'hills to our audience. This will be the first premiere of a new show at Foothills in several years. More than that, I'm excited about offering a truly fun, upbeat, musical entertainment for the holidays. In the past we've mostly offered plays, sometimes with music, for the month of December, but I felt it was time to do something really different for us. I think an evening of musical entertainment with nothing but singing and dancing on its mind is exactly what we all need right now. And who doesn't like holiday music? This will be the perfect pick-me-up for people looking for an escape from everything going on in the world right now."

The cast of "Holidays at the 'hills" features a skilled group of singers and dancers including several past performers seen on our stage. New to Foothills are Kent Zimmerman (The Producers, Guys and Dolls) and Adam Estes (Cabaret, Thoroughly Modern Millie). Returning to our stage are Trish Aponte (Chicago, Beehive!), Rebekah Turner (The Rocky Horror Show), Rebekah Jacobs (Beehive!, The World Goes 'Round), Merrill Peiffer (As Bees in Honey Drown, The Rocky Horror Show), Andrew Giordano (Evita, I Love You, You're Perfect...) and Artistic Director Russell Garrett (The IT Girl, Chicago, Cabaret) will be returning to the stage as well. When asked about his appearing onstage as well as directing and choreographing this show, Mr. Garrett stated, "This will be something I've never done before, directing and choreographing myself into a show, so this will definitely raise some challenges. But I am really excited to share the stage with this talented group of performers...all of whom I have directed and/or performed with in the past. I haven't performed onstage at Foothills since I took on its leadership and this was the first season since then that I considered performing again. This is just the kind of show I feel at home in so I'm looking forward to being on the Foothills stage once again."

"Holidays at the 'hills" will appear at Foothills Theatre December 6-28. Tickets are $32 for all shows, Children 12 and under $16.  Student seats are $19. Groups of 20 or more save $10 per ticket.
