Spotlighters Theatre's Young Actors Academy will close registration for the 2009 Academy on June 14, 2009.

Only 5 spaces available!  Don't miss this excellent opportunity!

This 130 hour intensive program is designed for high school students - age 12 - 17 that have a desire to take their acting skills to the next level.

Not a rehearsal camp -- the Young Actors Academy blends both academic and conservatory style workshops to give the young actor the needed skills to become more confident on stage, to develop and three dimensional character with intention and subtext.

Over a dozen workshops are taught by local theatre professionals, with not only education, but with practical experience in the world of theatre.

Workshops will include:  Acting Methods & Techniques, Theatre History & Styles, Dance & Movement, Voice - Projection & Musical Theatre, Comedy, Improv, Shakespearean acting, Stage Combat, Make-up Design & Application, Preparing for the Audition, and Character Development.
There will also be workshops focused on scene study and in depth character work.

Tuition is $525 for the 5 week program (Just $4 per hour!). Lunch each day and all materials are included.

To register go to http://www.spotlighters.org/pdfs/AcadApp09.pdf the completed form may be faxed to 410-752-1299 or mailed to the theatre.
