  • Review: BERNADETTE PETERS IN CONCERT Brings Down the House at Dallas Symphony Orchestra - It's always an honor to witness a live performance of a star as charismatic and uniquely talented as Bernadette Peters, but getting to review her concert with one of the finest symphony orchestras in the country was a transcendent experience.
  • Interview: Mariah Lotz of ONCE at AT&T Performing Arts Center - The folk-inspired Tony Award-winner ONCE is always a virtuosic expression of emotion due to the demands placed on its musicians and actors. It is also a show worthy of Mariah Lotz's many talents. Interviewing her just as she began her first national tour gave me the sense that she is a force to be reckoned with. I hope to see her onstage again very soon.

BWW Review: A CHORUS LINE Not Quite a Singular Sensation at MainStage Irving-Las Colinas
November 8, 2019

While the current production of A CHORUS LINE at MainStage Irving-Las Colinas works hard to present a cohesive and coherent vision of what the show can be, the musical frequently feels more like an open cattle call than an exhibition of extraordinary talent.

BWW Review: CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Concocts a Bittersweet Confection at AT&T Performing Arts Center
August 25, 2019

While Wonka's chocolates and candies can still be found in stores across the globe, the latest iteration of his now-classic story of succession tastes stale and a?' at times a?' lacks any taste at all.

BWW Review: A 3D ADVENTURE Screens a Madcap, if Uneven, Blockbuster at Circle Theatre
August 24, 2019

Matt Lyle's A 3D ADVENTURE more than lives up to its title, providing audiences with a madcap rush of scenes filled with action and laughter. But much like a hastily edited fight sequence, the story often feels clunky and uneven, privileging easy gimmicks over dramatic development.

BWW Review: THE CAKE Bakes Up a Deliciously Thoughtful Delight at Uptown Players
August 16, 2019

BWW Review: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Successfully Continues the 'Tradition' at Music Hall At Fair Park
August 8, 2019

This current production makes a compelling argument for the freshness and timelessness of FIDDLER and its message. The performers fill every scene and musical number with a renewed sense of urgency, determined to show that the forces that worked upon Tevye's family and his tight-knit community are still very hard at work all these decades later.
