On Your Feet!, a new musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, legendary producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan, just concluded its pre-Broadway World Premiere in Chicago. Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming Broadway premiere of Fool for Love by Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin, will star Nina Arianda, Sam Rockwell, Tom Pelphrey and Gordon Joseph Weiss. The limited engagement of Fool for Love begins previews Tuesday, September 15 and opens Thursday, October 8 at MTC's Samuel J. It all started with Marc Oka (an Original Broadway Cast member) who decided to try and gather members of the casts of MISS SAIGON for a reunion. He went to URBO (a fantastic restaurant, bar and venue, in the heart of Times Square) and Manager, Benjamin Ickies, who is also a musician, and BOOM ... the night was born.

As BroadwayWorld.com previously reported, actor and Broadway vet Joshua Park died at the age of 38 this weekend, following a brief illness. In rememberance of Park, BWW's own Walter McBride presents a selection of snapshots from the 2001.

Dave Thomas Brown, recently of Heathers: The Musical at New World Stages, leads a cast that also includes Wayne Duvall (O Brother Where Art Thou?, Leatherheads), Matt McGrath (Cabaret, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Keith Nobbs(Lombardi, 'The Black Donnellys') and Afton C. Williamson ('Nashville,' 'Homeland') will star in Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride, the first production of MCC's 2015-16 Main Stage Season. On September 23-24, Josh Grisetti will make his solo debut at 54 Below! Josh made his Broadway debut this past spring in It Shoulda Been You, for which he won the 2015 Clarence Derwent Award and received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations. Off-Broadway and regionally, Josh has performed in Sheryl Crow's Diner, Peter and the Starcatcher, and the revival of Rent. Tony winner Alice Ripley brought her ALL SONDHEIM show to 54 Below last week, on August 12. The multi-talented star of Broadway's NEXT TO NORMAL, SUNSET BOULEVARD, THE WHO'S TOMMY, SIDE SHOW and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW explored the provocative lyrics and enduring melodies of songs written by the legendary Stephen Sondheim.

THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 8(11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT). The show will be broadcast from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. The new marquee is up now, and BroadwayWorld brings you a first look below!

Andrew Lloyd Webber's newest musical, School of Rock, is starting the process of moving into the Winter Garden Theatre- the same theatre that Lloyd Webber's first long-running Broadway hit, CATS played. Broadway's holiday smash hit, THE ILLUSIONISTS, returns to New York City with incredible new magic. This fast-paced, wildly entertaining show, featuring seven of the world's greatest magicians, broke box records when it made its Broadway debut last year. The marquee for the new FIDDLER ON THE ROOF revival, starring Danny Burstein, is now up! Performances will begin on Thursday, November 12, 2015, with an opening night scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2015, at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). Deaf West's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, directed by Michael Arden and choreographed by Spencer Liff, just began rehearsals for its Broadway transfer. The Brooks Atkinson Theatre box office will open next Monday, August 17. The new musical Hamilton has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. Hamilton is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography 'Alexander Hamilton.' Meryl Streep just joined the long list of celebrities who have now seen the show, and BroadwayWorld was on hand to catch photos of the Hollywood living legend backstage with the cast!

Newly minted two-time Tony Award winner and Broadway favorite funny man Christian Borle has joined the ranks of Broadway royalty as he was honored with one of Sardi's legendary portraits. His castmates from the smash hit original musical Something Rotten! were on hand to toast his success and BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration. Check out photo coverage below!

Just yesterday, Ben Kallos, Council Member of the 5th District, honored Penn & Teller for their 40th anniversary of inspiring and thrilling audiences. The duo has a long and storied history entertaining New Yorkers and deep roots in New York City. Penn & Teller have had two off-Broadway and three Broadway engagements. Their first off-Broadway appearance in 1985 at the Westside Arts Theatre put them on the map.  They first played Broadway in 1987. PENN & TELLER ON BROADWAY marks their return to New York 30 years after their premiere here and is a bona fide hit; it closes this Sunday, August 16. Their numerous honors include an Obie Award, an Emmy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - and now a Proclamation from the city of New York.
