The highly anticiapted Ellen Page and Julianne Moore film FREEHELD was recognized at The Toronto International Film Festival this year. The film focuses on New Jersey police lieutenant, Laurel Hester, and her registered domestic partner, Stacie Andree, both battle to secure Hester's pension benefits when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Nicholas Hoult, Kristen Stewart and Drake Doremus took the red carpet at The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for their new film EQUALS. The film deals with a futuristic love story set in a world where emotions have been eradicated.

MCC Theater has just announced the the New York premiere of John Pollono's Lost Girls. Golden Globe nominated star of stage and screen, Piper Perabo-who recently completed five seasons of the USA's popular drama series 'Covert Affairs' for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination, and was last seen onstage in the Broadway and MCC Theater productions of Neil LaBute's Reasons to be Pretty-stars alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach (HBO's 'Girls'), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal),Tasha Lawrence (Good People, The Whale), and newcomers Lizzy DeClement and Josh Green.

Ars Nova presents THE ARS NOVA REVOLUTION, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to HAMILTON (Broadway, 2015). This epic night of revelry benefiting Ars Nova's artist community, featuring performances by cast members of Hamilton and Freestyle Love Supreme, was held just last night at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). Rita Moreno returns to music with her first all Spanish Album- Una Vez Mas. The album was produced by Grammy winning producer Emilio Estefan and Nicholas Tovar. The album contains for the first time in Spanish, 'Somewhere' from West Side Story. Rita is the first Hispanic artist to win all four major American entertainment award including an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony. In December, Rita will receive the Kennedy Center Honor.

Actress and DANCING WITH THE STARS winner Rumer Willis made her Broadway debut as 'Roxie Hart' in Broadway's Chicago last night, September 21. As previously announced, Willis's foot injuries required further time to rehabilitate from multiple stress fractures. She will now play a 6-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC) through Sunday, November 1, 2015.

Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming Broadway premiere of Fool for Love by Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin, will star Nina Arianda, Sam Rockwell,Tom Pelphrey and Gordon Joseph Weiss. The Broadway adaptation of Therese Raquin will star Academy and Golden Globe nominee Keira Knightley (Therese) making her Broadway debut alongside Tony award winner Gabriel Ebert (Camille), Matt Ryan(Laurent) and two-time Tony award winner Judith Light (Madame Raquin). This adaptation of Therese Raquin is written by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Emile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet. The full cast will also include David Patrick Kelly, Jeff Still, Mary Wiseman, Glynis Bell, Alex Mickiewicz, Sara Topham, Ray Virta.

The new Broadway production of D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, The Gin Game, starring Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson, will start previews on Wednesday, September 23. Check out the marquee at the Golden Theatre below!
