Just last night, Manhattan Theatre Club presented its 2016 Fall Benefit, honoring two-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane. The evening will featured appearances by Lane's friends and colleagues: Christine Baranski, Jenni Barber, Mike Birbiglia, Matthew Broderick, Brian Dennehy, Mark Linn-Baker, Andrea Martin, Terrence McNally, Jack O'Brien, Seth Rudetsky, Lewis J. Stadlen, John Slattery, Susan Stroman, and more.

The Players, the city's most fabled private social club for actors and artists, just presented its inaugural Helen Hayes Award to Barbara Cook, the musical theatre legend who is widely considered one of the twentieth century's best interpreters of the Great American Songbook, at a gala ceremony yesterday.

Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science will make its Broadway debut Thanksgiving week for eight performances only at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 W 47th St). 

Lincoln Center Theatre's upcoming revival of The Glass Menagerie, starring Sally Field and Joe Mantello, will begin previews on February 7, 2017 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre. (111 W 44th St, New York). Opening night is set for March 9th.

The Tony Award® winning Matilda the Musical will close on January 1, 2017, after playing 37 previews, 1,555 regular performances, and one Actors Fund performance. The production opened on April 11, 2013 (previews began March 4) at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). Featuring the Broadway debuts of 24 cast and creative team members, including Josh Groban as 'Pierre' and Denee Benton as 'Natasha,' the new musical is created by Dave Malloy (Ghost Quartet, Preludes) and directed by Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown, Artistic Director of The TEAM), also making their Broadway debuts. Academy Award & Golden Globe Nominated and BAFTA Award Winning Actor Gary Busey will star on stage next month, joining the cast of the longest running Off Broadway play in NYC history, the murder mystery Perfect Crime. Mr. Busey will step into the funny, romantic thriller to take on the role of Lionel McAuley, a brilliant, charismatic serial killer for a limited two-week engagement, November 21st to December 4th at The Theater Center, 1627 Broadway. www.perfect-crime.com 

La MaMa just celebrated its 55th season with a singular Gala Event like no other last night, November 10, at La MaMa Annex (66 E.4 St.). The Grammy-winning, co-author of the Tony-winning musical THE COLOR PURPLE and legendary party-hostess Allee Willis threw one of her renowned bashes, created especially as a benefit for La MaMa: BADEYA BABY! or HOW I LEARNED TO LOVE THE THEATRE. 

Deborah Cox and Judson Mills will soon lead the North American tour of THE BODYGUARD, which plays first at Millburn New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse. Performances are set to begin Friday, November 25, 2016, for a limited run through Sunday, January 1, 2017, prior to the official national tour opening at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, on January 10, 2017.

#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum.
