The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., NW Houston's critically acclaimed professional theatre begins its spring season with a sparkling production of James Goldman's brilliant theatrical classic, The Lion in Winter, opening January 24th and running through February 17th. Based on the history of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitane's marriage and rule, Goldman's play has become a classic of the modern theatrical canon, and was the basis for an award-winning 1968 film.

LES MIS Surpasses $100M at Box Office; TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D Takes Weekend

Tom Hooper's big screen adaptation of LES MISERABLES has now officially surpassed the $100 million mark this weekend (Jan. 4-6). It is now the seventh most-profitable musical since 1974. TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D claimed the weekend box office with $23 million, LES MIS placed at number four.

Abrams gave a private screening of the highly anticipated film STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS, for a lifelong fan of the franchise who was suffering from two forms of cancer. It's now known that the fan, Daniel Craft, passed away Friday night just hours after viewing the movie.

'Other People's Money,' Jerry Sterner's seriously funny play about Wall Street buccaneers and their hapless victims, will be the first production of the new year for the Hampton Theatre Company in Quogue. A near cult hit (especially with the investment banking crowd) when it first appeared on the New York stage in 1989, 'Other People's Money' tells a cautionary as well as extremely entertaining tale that is as timely in the era of Bernie Madoff and the 1 percent as it was in the go-go '80s. 'Other People's Money' opens on Thursday, January 10, and runs for three weekends, though January 27, at the Quogue Community Hall.

BBC AMERICA today announced the acquisition of the eight part ensemble drama Broadchurch starring David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Vicky McClure and Arthur Darvill. The series explores what happens to a small community when it suddenly becomes the focus of a major murder investigation and is subjected to the full glare of the media spotlight. Broadchurch will premiere as part of BBC AMERICA's groundbreaking drama block, Dramaville, in 2013.
