The world renowned Greater Kruger area of South Africa, just north of Johannesburg, is the new ground zero in a war to protect magnificent creatures on the edge of extinction. Rhinoceroses are being hunted to death by poachers who will stop at nothing to kill them just to take their horns. The death toll is astonishing; each year, nearly 500 rhinos are killed with baby rhinos and calves separated from their mothers and left to fend on their own. The human toll too is steep. More than 100 park rangers have been killed by these poachers in the battle to halt these criminals. The situation is worsening. Park rangers and security forces are desperate for help. The U.S. television premiere of the dramatic ENCORE Original Event, 'Hindenburg: The Last Flight,' will debut Monday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 12th at 8pm et/pt on ENCORE. Based on the 1930s disaster that ended an era of airship aviation, the two-part drama will air as part of ENCORE's 'Big Miniseries Showcase,' a weekly programming destination of fan favorites and classic titles.

Starz Entertainment announced today that production has begun in Cape Town, South Africa on the new original series 'Black Sails' from executive producer Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes with Neil Marshall (The Descent, 'Game of Thrones') set to direct the first episode. The new STARZ Original series is set to air in 2014. The straight-to-series, eight-episode first season of the gritty pirate adventure centers on the tales of Captain Flint and his men, and takes place twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'Treasure Island.'

Starz announced today that the historical fantasy 'Da Vinci's Demons,' an original series created by David S. Goyer, co-writer of The Dark Knight Trilogy, will premiere on STARZ in the U.S. on Friday, April 12 at 10 pm, following the finale of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned.' After the premiere on April 12th, the series will air Friday nights at 9pm et/pt. The eight-episode drama, produced by Adjacent Productions, follows the 'untold' story of the world's greatest genius, Leonardo da Vinci, during his turbulent youth in Renaissance Florence. BBC Worldwide is distributing the series internationally and Fox International Channels (FIC) has acquired the series across FIC's portfolio of 200 pay-TV entertainment channels. FIC will be premiering the show to audiences in 120 countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa in the month of April.

NBC has picked up the sly new drama series 'Camp' for 13 episodes for broadcast in Summer 2013, it was announced today by Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today new programming for 2013 including four new original series coming later this year: 'Blackboard Wars,' 'Golden Sisters,' 'Raising Whitley' (working title) and 'Dogfellas' (working title). OWN's first scripted series from Tyler Perry, the one-hour drama 'The Haves and the Have Nots' and half-hour comedy series 'Love Thy Neighbor,' are set to premiere on Wednesday, May 29. In addition, the network's popular original series return with all-new episodes including 'Oprah's Master Class,' 'Oprah: Where Are They Now?,' 'Oprah's Next Chapter' and 'Iyanla: Fix My Life.'
