TODAY is putting a new spin on an old classic with the launch of the TODAY Book Club— a unique discussion series connecting book lovers with engaging reads from both up-and-coming new authors to some of their seasoned favorites.

DirecTV announced today that film and television actor Cole Hauser (Transcendence, Olympus Has Fallen) will join Thandie Newton (The Pursuit of Happyness, Crash) for season two of its original drama ROGUE that will air in 2014 on Audience.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones is developing LADYBALLS, a new hour-long dramedy for The CW under her two-year deal with Warner Bros. Television. The network has ordered a script for the project, which School Confidential's Kara Taylor will write.

Digital entertainment curator FilmBuff announced today that it would release the gripping documentary THE NETWORK, chronicling the birth of the first and most successful media network in Afghanistan, TOLO TV. FilmBuff will release the film theatrically for exclusive engagements in New York and Los Angeles, and then on all VOD platforms October 8.

CBS Sports Network has acquired the rights to telecast college football and basketball games from the American Athletic Conference through a sub-licensing agreement with ESPN. The multi-year agreement begins with the 2013-14 college basketball season and continues through 2019-20.
