TV Land has closed a half-hour workplace comedy script deal with multimedia studio Electus, an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ:IACI) which was announced today by Keith Cox, Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming for TV Land. The script revolves around a 30-something woman as she navigates the executive ranks among her old-school male counterparts while her 20-something male assistant tries to make it amid his female-dominated peers - two fish, a big corporate pond, and very little water. The untitled script will be written and executive produced by Jon Sherman ('Frasier') with Electus' Chairman and Founder, Ben Silverman and Jimmy Fox also executive producing.

The 30-minute premiere episode, which aired as a sneak peek on Wednesday, October 2 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT following “Miley: The Movement,” delivered 1.0 million total viewers, ranking as the #1 original cable series in its timeslot (P12-34) and the #1 program in its timeslot with women 12-34.* “Big Tips Texas” officially kicks off on Wednesday, October 9 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes.

Popular WIGS drama Ruth & Erica, starring Maura Tierney (“ER”, “The Good Wife”) and an all star cast premieres on Hulu and Hulu+ TODAY. The 13-episode series (which originally premiered on YouTube) is now available in three, 30-minute episodes on the platform at www.hulu.com/ruth-and-erica.

ABC Family has cast Jennie Garth to join former “Beverly Hills 90210” co-star Tori Spelling in the network's comedy pilot, “Mystery Girls.” Both Spelling and Garth will also serve as executive producers. The casting marks a reunion of the two from their days on the hit series.
