American Stage Theatre Company's 'After Hours' Series and Hot Off The Press Playreading Series of new works in the Raymond James Theatre continue with nine productions in November: ODD MAN OUT, 321, JOURNEYMEN, CHICKEN OR THE EGG?, THE ROOM, TRIP TO THE BALLPARK, DEAR AUNT GERTRUDE, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES and LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION!

The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director), in collaboration with Big Fish Big Pond Productions, will present a workshop of the new musical LOVELESS, TEXAS October 29th-November 4th. LOVELESS, TEXAS has music and lyrics by Henry Aronson (Broadway's ROCK OF AGES) and libretto by Cailin Heffernan (Boomerang's VENUS OBSERVED, ANNA CHRISTIE). The workshop will culminate in a private industry only presentation on November 4th at The Peter J. Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). Heffernan will direct the workshop.

Fountain Hills Youth Theater will be presenting WINNIE THE POOH, based on the classic A. A. Milne story, for one more weekend. Christopher Robin's 'fat little bear of very little brain' would like to drift peacefully through life, humming tunes and stopping frequently to eat 'a little something.' However, when friend Piglet gets roped into Kanga's household and Kanga starts bathing him (with soap!) and forcing down spoonfuls of 'Strengthening Medicine', Pooh flies to the rescue assisted by his friends Eeyore, Owl, and Rabbit, (along with Rabbit's countless relations). While Pooh's intentions are always the best, his passion for honey and condensed milk keeps getting him into trouble.

Harlem Stage presents the film 'Bilal's Stand' by Sultan Sharrief on Monday, October 25 at 7:30pm Bilal, a high school senior, must choose between two worlds: Working at his family's taxi stand or his dream of attending college. The film based on a true story follows tough choices a young man must make to establish his own identity. Screening followed by a Q&A session with filmmaker and reception.

Nearly 30 Dallas Theatre Center employees, Brierley Acting Company, and members of the A CHRISTMAS CAROL cast will volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank over two days as part of the partnership created three years ago.

On Sunday, October 17th, Egads Theatre is having a Halloween Party at the Beer Kitchen on the south east corner of Westport & Pennsylvania in Westport from 8 to midnight. A $5 donation at the door earn you admittance to the party which includes a costume contest with a $100 first prize and tickets to Egads' EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL. There will be music provided by DJ BoyFriend and live performances by the cast, auction items, raffles and prizes as well as drink specials and a full menu. Tony Award winner Jennifer Holliday will perform with the National Symphony Orchestra Pops for three performances, November 26-27, 2010 in Jennifer Holliday in Concert. Principal Pops Conductor Marvin Hamlisch will conduct the program which will include such Dreamgirls hits as 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' and 'Changing,' along with other audience favorites. The concerts will take place during Thanksgiving weekend on Friday, November 26 at 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturday, November 27 at 8 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, Massachusetts presents THE SPENCERS: THEATRE OF ILLUSION, Saturday, November 6 at 7 pm. The Spencers were named 2009 International Magicians of the Year, joining the ranks of Henning, Copperfield, Penn & Teller and Criss Angel. For these illusionists, magic is no longer merely about baffling the audience by doing something seemingly impossible. Magic these days is about drama, spectacle, interaction, danger and personality. People have been known to levitate, walk through walls, vanish and reappear. Richard Eyre will direct John Mortimer's translation of Georges Feydeau's 1907 classic farce A FLEA IN HER EAR , opening for previews on 4 December 2010 (press night: 14 December). Starring Tom Hollander with Di Botcher, Jonathan Cake, Oliver Cotton, Lisa Dillon, Freddie Fox, Fiona Glascott, Lloyd Hutchinson, John Marquez, Tim McMullan, William Maxwell, Rebecca Night, Maggie Service and Walter Van Dyk, A Flea in Her Ear is a comedy of errors set against a backdrop of misunderstanding and confusion. A Flea in Her Ear is a co-production with Sonia Friedman Productions and is the second play in The Old Vic 2010-11 Season. The Season is sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

A major highlight of Lincoln Center's inaugural White Light Festival this fall is the U.S. premiere of 'Sutra', a modern dance work by acclaimed Belgian/Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui featuring 17 monks from the original Shaolin Temple in three performances November 2-4 in the Rose Theater. In the first true collaboration between Western artists and the revered Buddhist institution, Sutra combines the graceful, gravity-defying athleticism of the Shaolin monks with Cherkaoui's signature blend of modern ballet, African dance, and hip-hop.
