The Bonstelle Theatre will open an adaptation by Tyler J. Monroe of one of Hans Christian Andersen's most popular fairytales, The Snow Queen, just in time for the holiday season. It runs from November 30 to December 9, 2012. This classic children's fairytale is a holiday treat, and the Bonstelle Theatre's production will include a preshow craft activity with cast members for children starting 45 minutes prior to curtain time.

Iceland's Vesturport Theatre and Reykjavik City Theatre's latest production, Faust: A Love Story, comes to the US as part of the BAM 30th Next Wave Festival. Faust: A Love Story is a darkly humorous, circus-inspired reimagining of the classic Faustian tale of an all-consuming desire and a second chance at life in search of love.

The Alley Theatre will present David Sedaris' The Santaland Diaries on the Neuhaus Stage. Seattle Opera's critically acclaimed production of Wagner's four-opera epic Der Ring des Nibelungen returns for three cycles in August 2013. Online ticket sales to the general public will begin on Monday, November 12, at 9 a.m. Phone and in-person sales will begin on Thursday, November 15. The Alden in McLean, Virginia, brings Hot Club of San Francisco to the East coast for a concert of Django Reinhart-inspired hot jazz, 'Cinema Vivant,' on Saturday, November 17, at 8 p.m. The Alden is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave in McLean, VA, and tickets are $25 for the general public and $18 for MCC tax district residents.

Marvell Rep, which received a Drama Desk Award nomination as Best Revival for its production of The Threepenny Opera earlier this season, has been unable to perform for the past few days due to Hurricane Sandy.
