As announced in Billboard today, preeminent artist-first music streaming platform Audiomack honored multi-platinum Bronx rap superstar A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie as one of its most-streamed artists. Boogie recently surpassed 200 million streams on Audiomack and over 1.6 billion streams on Hoodie SZN overall, with “Look Back At It” going 2x platinum.

Variety reports that Matthew McConaughey will teach a class at his alma mater, the University of Texas, this fall. He has been a visiting instructor at the university for the past four years. 

Kronos Quartet's groundbreaking 2002 collaboration with composer Terry Riley, Sun Rings, is available as a recording for the first time via Nonesuch Records on August 30, 2019. Sun Rings is available to pre-order from iTunes and the Nonesuch Store, where the album track a?oeBeebopterismoa?? may be downloaded instantly, and will stream at Spotify and Apple Music. In addition, Nonesuch and Kronos released the official music video for a?oeBeebopterismoa?? to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 2019. Edited by Robert Edridge-Waks, the video combines footage from Willie Williams' visual design for Kronos' live multimedia production of Sun Rings.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aaron Sorkin's 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' is back on track at Paramount Studios. The film was previously canceled by Amblin due to concerns with the budget.

Just a little reminder that our amazing 30th anniversary reissues/celebration of The Cult's classic album Sonic Temple are right around the corner. On September 13th, we are releasing Sonic Temple 30, a gorgeous box set that contains three pieces of vinyl and a cassette plus tour memorabilia and ephemera (replica of original laminate, backstage pass, original press releases, label copy and more). It's numbered and limited to 3000 pieces worldwide and contains 40 tracks, four of which are previously unreleased. LP1+2 contain the album as originally released. LP3 contains Live At Wembley recorded by the BBC, and the included cassette contains limited-release demos. Four of the live tracks are previously unreleased. A cd version of the set will be out on October 11th. Also out on Sept 13th, is a revamped reissue of the original Sonic Temple album. Now cut onto two pieces of black vinyl, the audio is improved and contains 16 tracks total, which comprise the original album plus 6 B-sides. It's been out of print for over 20 years.

Today, Alberta singer-songwriter Leeroy Stagger sets himself free on new track a?oeDeeper Wella??, premiered with New Noise Magazine. While the tempo is upbeat and breezy, underneath its surface is a story of survival and moving forward. Stagger reflects on his past, declaring in the song's first verse a?oeI've been a fighter all my life.a?? This strength is present throughout Stagger's forthcoming album Strange Path due out September 13 via True North Records. Having just wrapped an extensive US tour in support of Snail Mail, Los Angeles songwriter and multi-instrumentalist SASAMI returns with a new single, 'Take Care.' 'Take Care' is the A-Side of a digital 7' out today that also features a new version of her song 'Free', featuring vocals by Tim Presley of White Fence. Both tracks are available for purchase and streaming now.

Variety reports that Diane Keaton and Jeremy Irons will star in upcoming romantic comedy “Love, Weddings and Other Disasters.' Dennis Dugan wrote the script and will direct the independent film. 

Variety reports that Dylan O'Brien will star in the action thriller 'Infinite.' Mark Wahlberg and Sophie Cookson have also been announced as members of the cast. Antoine Fuqua directs.

Deadline reports that crime thriller 'Unsound' has tapped Anna Kendrick to star. The film will be directed by Bharat Nalluri; Matthew Ross and Christopher Edwards wrote the script. 

Variety reports that a series based on web series 'I Mom So Hard' is in development at ABC from creators Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley.

Today the group announces the release of their new EP 'Rock and Soul Salvation'. The new release presents some time tested familiar material with a cool twist. “Rock and Soul Salvation” is a five-song compilation that includes favorites 'Keep On Running' 'Devil With A Blue Dress On' 'Respect Yourself' 'Homework' and 'I'm Shakin' '. The collection was released on the Recovery Recordings label and recorded at Beebe Gunn Studio.  Bassist Bruce Ross shares, 'Rock and Soul Salvation' is part of a new trend, we call it 'rock and soul revivalism'. Recording these tracks with our spin on them was pure joy.
