Tony-nominated director Susan H. Schulman is set to direct I DO, I DO, a musical by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, this summer at the Westport Country Playhouse from August 10th through the 28th.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has officially backed out of the upcoming remake of Footloose. Entertainment Weekly reports that Paramount is now planning on casting an unknown to take on the role Kevin Bacon made famous in the iconic 1984 film. Hairspray star Zac Efron was originally cast in the role before Crawford replaced him. It was widely believed that Crawford was tapped in order to avoid typecasting in the role.

Stage and screen stars Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell are set for the upcoming movie Lunatic at Large. The movie is based on a treatment written by Jim Thompson and the late Stanley Kubrick.

Chicago's Harris Theater for Music and Dance has announced its 2010-2011 season. Alan Cumming, John Waters and Laurie Anderson are among the familiar faces that will be taking the stage this year.

Playwright Tracey Scott Wilson rips through the pages of history in The Good Negro, a 'powerfully moving' (The New York Times) and 'thunderous new play' (Variety) about the drive for racial equality-and the clash between private ethics and public good. MTV has picked up a second season of the original docu-series 'The Buried Life' set to air later this year. The announcement was made today by Tony DiSanto, President of Programming for MTV. 'The Buried Life' follows the real-life adventures of Duncan, Ben, Jonnie and Dave, as they travel the country trying to complete a list of '100 things they want to do before they die.' For each item they cross off their list, they help a perfect stranger accomplish one of their dreams, challenging each person they meet with the ultimate question -- 'What do YOU want to do before you die?'

Broadway star Andrea McArdle is set to take on the iconic role of Miss Hannigan this summer in the North Carolina Theatre's production of ANNIE, according to published reports. McArdle is best known for her Tony-nominated performance of the title role in ANNIE during its original run on Broadway.
