The new Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill will begin preview performances at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th St., NYC) on Sunday, November 3, 2019, with an official opening night of Thursday, December 5, 2019.

A new short musical film  - the Global Her Project - released today, uses song and dance to explain the global gag rule and educate viewers on how they can take action to help end the harmful policy by urging their members of Congress to support the Global H.E.R. Act.

Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway, one of NYC's best-loved and highly anticipated productions, is back this season after a five-year absence. Spoofs include Hadestown, Moulin Rouge, this season's Oklahoma! revival, The Ferryman, Tootsie, Beetlejuice, Frozen, the Yiddish Fiddler on the Roof,, Dear Evan Hansen, What the Constitution Means to Me, and the new generation of Broadway stars including Ben Platt, Billy Porter, Santino Fontana, Karen Olivio, Alex Brightman and exciting turns by Bette Midler, Andre De Shields, Bernadette Peters, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and several surprises.

Times Square was on disco inferno on Saturday night! Cast members from the original Broadway and First National Touring companies of Saturday Night Fever marked the 20th anniversary of the show's opening in New York by recreating a portion of the closing number from the show, the 'Mega Mix,' with the original choreography intact.

TINA - THE Tina Turner MUSICAL will begin performances on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) on Saturday, October 12, 2019 with an opening night set for Thursday, November 7, 2019.

A new video was released today celebrating the hit musical Girl from the North Country. Filmed in the Dylan Room at the historic Troubadour in London, the video features stars Rachel John (Mrs. Neilsen in the West End and Toronto productions) and Jeannette Bayardelle (Mrs. Neilsen at The Public and on Broadway) meeting and performing together for the first time. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Netflix will debut a feature-length concert special from Ben Platt, which was filmed at Platt's final stop on tour, his sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall last night, September 29. According to Variety, stage and screen star Anika Noni Rose will guest star in two episodes of Hulu's upcoming adaptation of Little Fires Everywhere. She will play Paula Hawthorne, a  'renowned photographer and art professor in New York who becomes a mentor to Mia when she is young.'

After a sold-out, year-long critically acclaimed international tour, David Byrne's American Utopia will play a strictly limited engagement on Broadway at the intimate Hudson Theatre from October 4, 2019 through January 19, 2020, with the official opening set for October 20, 2019.

On November 19, 2017, Ben Platt said goodbye to Evan Hansen forever... or so we thought. In a recent interview with Sunday Today, the actor, who won a Tony Award for originating the role,  revealed that initial plans are underway for a film adaptation, and that he would love to play the character again. Last night Broadway stars and student Thespians shared the stage at Edison Ballroom for the 5th Broadway Back to School Gala supporting the Educational Theatre Foundation.  The event honoring Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman's dedication to educational theatre featured some of the biggest names in Broadway, including legends Chita Rivera and Patti LuPone, host Laura Benanti, John Cariani, Gavin Creel, Evan Ruggiero, Carla Stickler, Alex Stone, and J. Harrison Ghee who appeared as Crystal Demure.
