LAByrinth Theater Company (Co-Artistic Directors Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell, Yul Vázquez, and Managing Director Danny Feldman) presented its annual signature benefit Celebrity Charades 2011: Down and Derby last night, November 14th. Four celebrity teams jockeyed their way to the Winner's Circle in a fearsome and hilarious speed charades competition to support LAByrinth Theater Company's 2011/12 season. Celebrity Charades, LAByrinth Theater Company's annual star-studded fundraising event, remains one of the most popular ‘happenings' of the year in New York City.

Off-Broadway's The New Group presents Burning, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Scott Elliott, kicking off the company's 2011-12 Season. The production officially opened last night, November 14 at 7:00 PM. Burning plays a limited engagement through December 17 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street). The world premiere of RELATIVELY SPEAKING, three one-act comedies by the prolific writing trio of Ethan Coen, Elaine May and Woody Allen, opened on Broadway on October 20 at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47 Street). Broadway's new musical comedy Lysistrata Jones announces a Student rush tickets policy. Student rush tickets are available for purchase when the box office opens at 10am for that day's performance. There is a limit of 2 tickets per person with a valid student ID. Tickets, located in the front row and other selected locations, are $25 and subject to availability.

According to Whatsonstage.com, Starlight Express be launching a UK tour in 2012, as the show has 'recently appeared on a number of regional theatre websites.' Having last toured in 2004, the 2012 tour will be produced by Bill Kenwright Limited.

Emmy-Award winning actress Holland Taylor sits down to chat with Rosie O'Donnell about ANN, a new play written and performed by Taylor, on OWN's 'The Rosie Show' on Tuesday, November 15. ANN is currently playing at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago for a limited three-week engagement, Nov. 13-Dec. 4, 2011. 'The Rosie Show' airs weeknights at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.

The LCT3 world premiere production of ALL-AMERICAN, a new play by Julia Brownell, directed by Evan Cabnet, is currently playing at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project (229 West 42 Street). LCT3 is Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences. ALL-AMERICAN is the first production of its fourth season. ALL-AMERICAN runs through November 19.

As described in a brochure for WNET's 'Great Performances' series, the 2011-12 season will feature a slew of theatre productions. Included in the line-up is LET ME DOWN EASY- a one-woman show featuring Anna Deavere Smith, MEMPHIS- featuring original stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball, and THE HANTOM OF THE OPERA- featuring Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess. Also included in this season will be Michael Tilson Thomas' THE THOMASHEFSKYS- starring Shuler Hensley and Judy Blazer, and 'The Divine Right'- a Sam Mendes miniseries about putting together Shakespeare's RICHARD II, HENRY IV Parts I & II and HENRY V. Air dates for the above programs have not yet been announced.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Tony-winner Laura Benanti will join the cast of LAW & ORDER SVU for a multo-episode ark. Benanti will play the bitter ex-wife of Danny Pino's character. This duo will replace the former married duo of Stabler and his wife Kathy, and delve deep into their relationship away from the SVU team. No air dates have been set for Benanti's multi-episode arc.

Back in August, a controversy arose from a New York Yimes article that explained director Diane Paulus' new vision for the ART production, and soon to be Broadway transfer, of THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS. Specifically in reponse to Paulus' new 'final scene,' which gave the musical a more upbeat ending, theatre legend Stephen Sondheim wrote a memorable letter to the NYT about his thuoghts on the re-interpretation.

It's official, NBC's new Broadway-filled series SMASH will premiere on February 6 at 10pm. The show, which is about a group of people who come together to put on a Broadway musical was developed by NBC's Robert Greenblatt, Steven Spielberg, and Broadway producing team Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Broadway's Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman - whose latest venture, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, is now running at the Neil Simon Theatre - wrote the music for the show. Michael Mayer directed the project, and playwright Theresa Rebeck penned the script.

According to E! Online, stage and screen star Megan Mullally will soon star in an episode of NBC's 'Up ALl Night' as Maya Rudolph's rival Shayna Mund.

Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter and Broadway producer Alicia Keys and cast members of STICK FLY will greet and sign autographs for ticket buyers in the lobby of the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street) on Wednesday, November 16 from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. This event celebrates the Broadway debut of Lydia R. Diamond's critically-acclaimed play. Directed by Kenny Leon, the production begins performances this Friday, November 18 in advance of a Thursday, December 8 opening.
