Oscar-winning Hollywood legend Liza Minnelli has signed up to appear at a major charity gala in London on 29 April 2012 to celebrate the work of legendary songwriters Kander & Ebb. The all-star gala at the Victoria Palace Theatre is being produced by veteran promoter and producer Barry Mishon in collaboration with John Kander, and will be in aid of the Ovarian Cancer Action charity.

According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Loretta Devine has joined the cast of Lifetime's 'The Client List' as a series regular. The series is about 'a Texas housewife who, after being deserted by her husband, ends up running a massage parlor which serves as a front for a call girl service.'

Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transfered to London's West End and opened November 24 to tremendous critical acclaim, and according to Whatsonstage, plans will soon be made concerning bringing the new musical to Broadway. RSC artistic director Michael Boyd announced at a press conference last week that the Mailda team will travel to New York at the end of January to discuss future Broadway plans. Additionally the RSC will 'retain "absolute control" over the production.'

On Friday January 13, Times Square Chronicles, MEDEA Vodka, and Columbus Circle Wines and Spirits launched Charities to Benefit, an innovative initiative to bring light to the charities of choice of a number of our favorite celebrities. GLEE returns from its holiday hiatus tomorrow night, January 17, and according to TVGuide.com, creator RYan Murhy has big plans for the rest of the third season. Murphy revealed that he will collaborate with Bee Gees' Barry Gibb for an April episode that will focus on the Saturday night fever soundtrack.

The Public Theater will begin previews of GOB SQUAD'S KITCHEN (You've Never Had It So Good), devised and performed by the German/British Collective GOB SQUAD on Thursday, January 19. A hit at last year's Under the Radar Festival, GOB SQUAD'S KITCHEN will run through Sunday, February 5 in the Newman Theater with an official press opening on Monday, January 23.
