Set in a stylized Los Angeles, A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III is a playful comedy of lost love, friendship, revenge fantasies, and Brandy Alexanders. Manhattan Theatre Club announces complete casting for its upcoming production of THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES, the world premiere play by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg, directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow. A tense illegal arms deal in a Berlin hotel descends into sudden mayhem after a "ghost" agent named Jong-seong (Ha Jung-woo) appears on the scene. Secretly watching the deal go down is embattled South Korean intelligence chief Jin-soo (Han Suk-Kyu), the North Koreans and the US CIA, who are all left trying to decode whether the ghost is a double-agent or taking the fall for a more insidious plot. Myung-soo (Ryoo Seung-bum) a young but notorious North Korean agent, jumps into these treacherous waters to investigate loyalties of all involved and begins to implicate Jong-seong's wife, Jung-hee (Gianna Jun), a translator at the North Korean embassy in the German capital. Caught between his love of country and his wife, Jong-Seong must quickly prepare to make the ultimate sacrifice in this thrilling tale of political intrigue.

Better Nate Than Ever, the acclaimed debut novel by Tim Federle that was just named an Amazon Best Book of the Month, was released yesterday, February 5 from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Last night was the two-hour premiere of Season 2 of NBC's Golden Globe-nominated musical drama series SMASH, and according to Deadline.com the ratings took a major dip. Compared to the Season 1 premiere, the show's viewers were down 71%, and 39% from the season 1 finale. 4.47 million viewers tuned in last night, compared to the Season 1 premiere turnout of 11.4 million viewers.

Today in 1975, Private Lives opened at the 46th Street Theatre (now the Richard Rogers Theatre), where it ran for 92 performances. Private Lives is a 1930 comedy of manners in three acts by Noel Coward. It focuses on a divorced couple who discover that they are honeymooning with their new spouses in neighbouring rooms at the same hotel. Despite a perpetually stormy relationship, they realise that they still have feelings for each other. Its second act love scene was nearly censored in Britain as too risque. Coward wrote one of his most popular songs, 'Some Day I'll Find You', for the play.

Directed by two-time Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun, a portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to The Performing Arts Project.
