The Modern Beethoven: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by David Zinman will take place March 1-20, 2012. The opening program will comprise Beethoven's Symphonies Nos. 2 and 7, and Stravinsky's Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra, with Peter Serkin as soloist, Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Victory Gardens continues its 2011-12 season with We Are Proud to Present…, from Victory Gardens' 2010 IGNITION festival, written by Jackie Sibblies Drury and directed by Eric Ting. The production runs March 30 - April 29, 2012 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park.

On March 2nd at 7:30 p.m., Reanae McNeal will perform an original work, The Jazz Singing Women, as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Realizing the Dream Series. This unique piece will be a combination of lecture and performance, as McNeal shares her story of female African American jazz singers and performs selections of their music. Reanae will perform in the Alabama Power Recital Hall at Shelton State Community College's Martin Campus.

Thirty years after the famous movie's debut, the Blues Brothers live on in The Official Blues Brothers Revue, starring Wayne Catania as Jake and Kieron Lafferty as Elwood. This Blues Brothers Revue is the only show to be officially sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi Pisano, wife of the late John Belushi.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform "Bond and Beyond" - a spy-themed program featuring a variety of James Bond themes in addition to classic songs from other spy films - March 16-17, 2012, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Washington National Opera (WNO) will present famed Romanian soprano Angela Gheorghiu in concert on Saturday, March 3 at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Opera House. From February 22 to 24, 2012, EarShot (the National Orchestral Composition Discovery Network) and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO), JoAnn Falletta, Music Director, will present the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra New Music Readings at Kleinhans Music Hall (3 Symphony Circle, Buffalo). On Thursday, February 23 at 7pm at Kleinhans Hall, the public will have the opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing brand new orchestral works to life, as music by the four selected composers is read by the BPO under the baton of associate conductor, Matthew Kraemer.

February 2nd marked the opening night for the Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) world premiere of the new play, Rx, written by Kate Fodor. Directed by Ethan McSweeny, the cast features Michael Bakkensen, Marylouise Burke, Marin Hinkle, Stephen Kunken, Paul Niebanck, and Elizabeth Rich. WWFM's JazzOn2, one of three radio formats broadcasting from Mercer County Community College (MCCC), is introducing four new radio programs over the next few months: two public affairs programs, a music program that will introduce new releases, and a fusion jazz program.
