THE ODD COUPLE by Neil Simon was the first production ever done under the name of Montevallo Main Street Players and in this, their 30th season, they have decided to bring back the 'classics.' For a small community like this to support a theatre for this long is notable!

MOON OVER BUFFALO at Virginia Samford Theatre is certainly high energy slap stick that makes you want to find some quiet after it is done. A little too over the top for my taste, there are definitely laughs to be had.

As always, the BLUE MAN GROUP makes you laugh, makes you nervous, makes you think. No matter how grumpy you are, there will be something to entertain you.

From the superb set, to the amazing puppetry of the cast, everything about AVENUE Q at UAB was top notch entertainment. I was definitely impressed with UAB and their theatre department.

BOOK OF MORMON is as off color and irreverent as you might have heard, but it has substance and meaning as well. The music is great and the talent top notch. Old fuddy-duddys should stay home, but for everyone else, you will be hard pressed to find a funnier, more entertaining show.

For its last offering at its current location, South City Theatre presents CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF.The iconic Tennessee Williams play is one you should see at some point in your life. Take this opportunity to see a classic at SCT.

This college production is on par with anything I have seen recently, professional or community theatre. The entire ensemble is talented and enthusiastic. This is one to see, but time is limited!

THE PRODUCERS at Virginia Samford Theatre is a fast paced, hilarious production. It is a show you will want to see. It is wrong in all of the right places and has a large, talented cast. The whole production makes for a fun night out.

If you don't like puns, slapstick, jokes, situational comedy and any other type of comedy you can imagine, then stay home. If you aren't interested in an inventive story and unrestrained, imaginative acting then this is not for you. But if you are up for an adventure and altogether hilarious night at the theatre, then you don't want to miss this one.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE is just that- wonderful! From the old fashioned sing-a-long before the show to the milk and cookies after the show, everything is fun, inventive and geared towards holiday fun.
