A sharp-tongued, yet compassionate son of Compton, California, Brown aims to get the Pirates their first conference title in over 30 years, and doesn't care if he jolts this quiet Midwestern place while he does it. The season will also include a special episode revisit with Coach Buddy Stephens, former academic advisor Brittany Wagner, and players from the first two editions of LCU at East Mississippi Community College.

According to Deadline, Netflix has ordered a second season of Llama Llama, its animated series from Genius Brands International. Jennifer Garner leads the voice cast of the preschooler toon, which premiered in January in 20 countries.

Low Country Sound and Elektra Records are proud to release the new song by Shooter Jennings, 'Rhinestone Eyes.' It's the second song released from his upcoming new record, SHOOTER, which was produced by longtime friend and collaborator, Low Country Sound founder Dave Cobb, at the renowned RCA Studio A on Nashville's Music Row. SHOOTER sees Jennings staking out a fairly straightforward goal: to simply make a great country record. The album arrives at all music retailers and streaming services on Friday, August 10.

Netflix announced today an exclusive multi-year overall series deal with the creative minds behind one of the most-watched entirely non-English shows on Netflix, DARK. Under the terms of the deal, Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, who hail from Germany, will produce new series and projects for Netflix's 125 million members around the world.

According to Deadline, the biopic about Sammy Davis, Jr. now has been set up at Paramount Pictures, where producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has his overall deal. The project is on the development fast track, soon to be hiring a writer and a director to make the feature film about the dancer-singer-actor-musician to becoming a reality.

Joining the all-star line-up for the 38th annual edition of PBS' A CAPITOL FOURTH, the country's longest-running live national July 4 TV tradition, are theatrical icon and triple-threat Broadway legend Chita Rivera, multi-platinum pop singer and songwriter Andy Grammer, and THE VOICE Season 14 finalist Kyla Jade.  Grammer will perform his hit "Back Home," the lead single from his Gold-certified album Magazines or Novels, on America's national Independence Day celebration.  Gospel singer Jade will open the show with a performance of the "National Anthem."
