Real estate and house flipping expert Christina El Moussa, best known from HGTV's hit series Flip or Flop, has signed a deal for a new original series with the network. The eight-episode series titled Christina on the Coast will showcase Christina as she expands her design business in Southern California. In the series, Christina will transform clients' outdated properties into high-end showplaces. It also will put the spotlight on her personal journey after her split with husband Tarek. As Christina searches for the perfect new home to start afresh while balancing parenthood, career and a new relationship, cameras will follow her. Christina on the Coast is set to premiere in 1Q 2019.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed two music legends to its Neighbouring Rights division with deals to represent the prestigious and extensive recording catalogues of Bob Marley and Leonard Cohen.

The Grammy Awards have decided to increase the number of nominees in the four top categories (Album, Song, Record of the Year, & Best New Artist) from five to eight after complaints of a lack of diversity and equality. The announcement was released through a letter to the members of the Recording Academy earlier this week. The other categories will remain at five nominees. 

Netflix has announced that Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs, Looper) and JJ Feild (Turn, The Romanoffs), as well as newcomer Frankie Hervey, have been cast in the upcoming original comedy series Turn Up Charlie, which went into production earlier this month in London. They join the previously announced Idris Elba, who co-created and executive-produces the series in which he will also star.

Continuing its commitment to creating diverse, elevated original programming from the entertainment industry's leading talent, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network today announced the ensemble cast — including Emmy nominee Phylicia Rashad — for its new original drama series David Makes Man, the television debut of Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), produced by Warner Horizon Scripted Television. McCraney wrote the coming-of-age drama and will serve as executive producer alongside Mike Kelley & Melissa Loy (Revenge), Michael B. Jordan (Creed) and Oprah Winfrey. Dee Harris-Lawrence (Shots Fired, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.) has been named showrunner and will also join the executive producer team. Production will begin on the drama this summer in Orlando, Florida, for a 2019 premiere.
