To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

SHOWTIME announced today that new original documentary series, THE FOURTH ESTATE, directed and produced by Emmy®-winning and Oscar®-nominated filmmaker Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?), will have its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, receiving the distinction of being selected as the Festival's closing night film. Following its screening on Saturday, April 28, Tribeca Film Festival will host a panel discussion with some of the subjects of the documentary including The New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet, Washington bureau chief Elisabeth Bumiller, White House correspondent Maggie Haberman, Washington investigative correspondent Mark Mazzetti and Garbus. Following its Tribeca Film Festival world premiere, THE FOURTH ESTATE will premiere on Sunday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

Beyond Fiction and Harvest Pictures are delighted to announce that its film OBEY will celebrate its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on 22nd April 2018. It will be in competition within the International Narrative Competition category along with 10 International (non-US) narrative films that will compete for Best Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor and Best Actress.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Patti LuPone will guest star in upcoming episode of MOM on CBS. LuPone will play Rita, the (demanding) new owner of the building that is managed by Bonnie (Allison Janney). Rita is a bit of a live wire: Freshly divorced, she's either barking orders or sharing way too much about her personal life. LuPone's episode will air in April.

ABC has renewed the hit drama series “The Good Doctor” for the 2018-19 season, it was announced today by Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment.

In this episode, Carisi (Peter Scanavino) opens a police investigation when his niece reports a classmate for sexual assault. Meanwhile, Stone (Philip Winchester) learns there are no perfect witnesses when it comes to sex crimes. Also starring Mariska Hargitay (Lt. Olivia Benson), Ice T (Det. Odafin Tutuola) and Kelli Giddish (Det. Amanda Rollins). Directed by Academy Award®-Nominee Agnieszka Holland as well as Kasia Adamik, Olga Chajdas and Agnieszka Smoczynsk, the eight-episode series recently started production and is expected to be available to Netflix members globally later this year.
