Southern Comforts, starring Michael Learned (The Waltons, One Slight Hitch) & Granville Van Dusen (The Memoirs of Abraham Lincoln, Darwin in Malibu, Jonny Quest) opened Friday, Oct 21st in at The Falcon Theatre in Burbank, CA with an enthusiastic response from the audience that included Lee Meriwether, Bonnie Franklin.

The new work conceived and directed by Tommy Tune and written by Mark Saltzman, originally titled FOREVER 54, will now be titled FIFTY FOUR FOREVER. It will receive its world premiere at The University of Miami's Jerry Herman Ring Theatre, from November 9 to 19.

Performance artist Reno (Rebel Without a Pause), Tony-nominee Justin Vivian Bond (Kiki & Herb: Alive on Broadway), and Robert Croonquist (associate producer of 2002 documentary 'The Cockettes') were among the theatergoers at Theatre 80 (80 St. Marks Place) on Friday night where San Francisco's acclaimed Thrillpeddlers performed a concert version of the cult hit VICE PALACE: THE LAST COCKETTES MUSICAL, as part of HOWL! Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of HORSEDREAMS, a new play written by and featuring award-winning and Pulitzer Prize finalist, Dael Orlandersmith. The third production of the company's 17th season, performances of HORSEDREAMS will begin Wednesday, November 9th at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets). The official opening night is set for Thursday, November 17th. The production is scheduled to run through December 11th. Gordon Edelstein directs.
