Visitors to Philipsburg Manor on Labor Day weekend will experience the Green Corn Festival, a celebration of the Hudson Valley's Native American heritage, Saturday through Monday, Sept. 3-5, from 10-5 each day.

On September 22nd, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation continues the Songwriters Music Series in Los Angeles with an acoustic performance by Grammy® Award winning musician, Colbie Caillat. This marks the third stop in the series, which launched in New York City this past May with a performance by Glee star Matthew Morrison and continued in Nashville, Tennessee in June with ACM Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry.

OBERON, the American Repertory Theater's destination for theater and nightlife on the fringe of Harvard Square, has been bringing exciting and original programming to the space in 2011. The home of the A.R.T.'s hit productions of The Donkey Show, Cabaret and Prometheus Bound, OBERON also presents the work of local and visiting talent. The following events will be presented during the month of August:

The New Museum will present New York-based artist Elena del Rivero's [Swi:t] Home: A CHANT (2001-2006) in the lobby gallery to commemorate the upcoming tenth anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy on September 11, 2001. The Museum will also offer visitors free admission on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

When Hackmatack Playhouse Owner/Producer Michael Guptill greeted patrons preceding a show last Wednesday night, he mentioned that the next show, opening Wednesday, August 17 would be Alfred Hitchcock's 'The 39 Steps.' A woman from the audience shouted out, 'It's a great show, everyone must see it!' Guptill was pleased, 'Wow, there's an unplanned, spontaneous, compliment. It is a great play!' 'I'll be here!' she replied.

Corinna Sowers-Adler will make her debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in 'Let Me Sing and I'm Happy' on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 8:30pm. The performance will be an evening of American popular music filled with funny songs with crazy words that roll along and make you laugh; sad refrains of broken hearts that love in vain to make you cry and crooning blues that start you tappin' your feet and lift you out of your seat.

FUZZ announces auditions for THE FANTASTICKS, with music by Harvey Schmidt, book & lyrics by Tom Jones, direction by Kristen Cooley and musical direction by Michael Tan.

SONiC - Sounds of a New Century - a brand new festival of 21st century music by more than 100 composers age 40 and under, will take over New York from Friday, October 14 through Saturday, October 22, 2011. Events will range from a daylong marathon to a DJ/VJ night, from a free symphony concert at the World Financial Center Winter Garden to collaborations between emerging choreographers and composers.

The newly announced final season of ABC's 'Desperate Housewives,' will feature the return of Sarah Paulson's character Lydia, Lynette's loser sister,according to Hollywood Reporter. Paulson will return for one episode.

Golf balls fly, plates smash and 'game hunting' takes on new meaning in Cortland Repertory Theatre's next production, the hysterical comedy 'The Smell of the Kill'. Written by Michele Lowe, this contemporary play makes its CRT debut as the fifth show of the theatre's 40th Anniversary season, and stars three talented actresses familiar to the CRT audience.

Muslim, Iranian-American writer and comedian performer Zahra Noorbakhsh (pronounced Zah-ra Nor-bash), brings back her successful one person show All Atheists Are Muslim. On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Zahra Noorbakhsh - back from the Int'l. NYC Fringe Theater Festival - aims to heal the Islamophobia that is terrorizing fair and balanced thought everywhere with her critically-acclaimed one woman show, All Atheists Are Muslim. Its an insightful and funny solo-performance evening that uses a story about cross-cultural relationships to address stereotypes about Islam, thus aiming to combat the demonization of Muslims in America. Muslims get in 2 for 1. All Atheists Are Muslim is directed by W. Kamau Bell.

Kumu Kahua Theatre returns for its 41st season this October with three world premieres, a long-awaited revival and a unique holiday production. Despite financial challenges over the past year, the theater-with just two staff and a core of dedicated volunteers-has put together an outstanding program that underscores the institution's mission: Plays about life in Hawai‘i. Veteran theater agent Val Day has joined ICM, according to Deadline. Day previously was at WME, where she represented the estate of Eugene O'Neill as well as playwrights Athol Fugard, Adam Bock, Jordan Harrison, Amy Herzog, Dan LeFranc and Nilaja Sun. She also repped lyricist Chad Beguelin, composer Gabe Kahane, and directors David Cromer, Trip Cullman, Gordon Edelstein, Anne Kauffman, Simon Phillips, Hal Brooks and Mark Rucker.

With just over a month to go until Graeme Murphy's new Romeo & Juliet debuts on the Arts Centre stage in Melbourne, anticipation is at an all-time high.

Melissa James Gibson's affecting and witty new play, 'This,' opens Sunday, August 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre. The new play, directed by Daniel Aukin, continues through August 28, 2011.
