Sophie Okonedo to Star in Penhall's HAUNTED CHILD, Opens Dec. 2

Oscar-nominated actress Sophie Okonedo will return to the stage in a psychological drama according to the Daily Mail. Okonedo will star with Ben Daniels, and a seven-year-old boy yet to be cast, in Joe Penhall's new play HAUNTED CHILD. The production will be directed by Jeremy Herrin and will open at the Royal Court on December 2.

Asolo Repertory Theatre presents an FSU/Asolo Conservatory production of the New Stages project HAMLET REDUX, a 60 minute adaptation from the play by William Shakespeare. As a second successful touring season begins, New Stages will reach out to schools, organizations and creative venues across the state. New this year: Two companies will tour, creating more opportunities for performances and dialogue within our communities. This new adaptation by Stephanie Fleischmann and Dmitry Troyanovsky and directed by Dmitry Troyanovsky, embarks on a one month-plus tour on October 4th; special Opening Night public performances in the Cook Theatre will be on October 6th at 6 pm & 8:30 pm.

Riding on the heels of a successful debut season, the Los Angeles Philharmonic (LA Phil) and NCM Fathom, announced today another opportunity to experience the up-close, behind-the-scenes, dramatic sight and sound experience of LA Phil LIVE in U.S. theaters. Beginning on October 9, with additional performances in February and spring 2012, LA Phil LIVE season two will offer an intimate glimpse inside Walt Disney Concert Hall with world-renowned Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. The series of performances will showcase some of classical music's most talented and dynamic performers. Also, in a rare live broadcast from Caracas, Venezuela, Dudamel will lead more than 1,000 musicians for Mahler 8, 'Symphony of a Thousand,' conducting the two organizations that feature so prominently in his life: the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

TNT began production this week on itsnew original series Perception, starring Emmy(R) and Screen Actors Guild Award(R) winner Eric McCormack (Will & Grace, Who Is Clark Rockefeller). The series about an eccentric neuroscientist who helps solve complex criminal cases also stars Rachael Leigh Cook (She's All That), Arjay Smith (The Day After Tomorrow) and Kelly Rowan (The O.C.). TNT has ordered 10 episodes of Perception, which will join the network's lineup in summer 2012.
