M.I.T. Productions presents Michelle Krusiec's Made In Taiwan at the 14th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. Written and performed by Krusiec (Saving Face, ABC FAMILY's 'The Secret Life of The American Teenager') and directed by Andy Belser (Artistic Director of the Juniata Theatre in PA, and The Gravity Project), Made In Taiwan will play five performances, August 14th - 24th, at The New School for Drama Theater (151 Bank Street). The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (MOCA) today released the design for its new facility, following its presentation and approval at a meeting of the City Planning Commission. The project is designed by the internationally acclaimed firm Foreign Office Architects (FOA), London. The Museum anticipates that it will break ground for the $26.3 million project in fall/winter 2010.

On Saturday, July 16, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will drop by Roll-n-Roaster to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the venerable Sheepshead Bay eatery famous for its gravy-dipped roast beef sandwiches and 'cooked to order' fast food. Never Norman Rockwell, a new spin on the classic coming out story, begins its premiere at the 2010 Midtown International Theatre Festival July 16th, playing at the Beckett Theatre at Theater Row. Written by Kyle Baxter (the award-winning I Hate Love at MITF, Breeze Off the River at FringeNYC), Never Norman Rockwell is being presented at MITF by The Collective Objective in association with the Midtown International Theatre Festival, and is directed by Anthony Gargano (Initial Sin).

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) has announced that playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis will be the company's American Theatre Master for 2011.

A group of National Youth Theatre performers today jetted off to present Living the Dream in the UK Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo as global ambassadors for British culture. Starting on 19th July, the show will be performed on the pavilion site, and will link live action in Shanghai with scenes recorded in London, to create an audacious site specific production inspired by William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is pleased to announce auditions for 'Spreading It Around' by Londos D'Arrigo on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 5:00 PM. Directed by Bonny Downs. This light-hearted comedy finds Angela Drayton, a wealthy widow living in a retirement community in Florida. When she grows tired of footing the bills and handing out money to her unappreciative children, she and some of the other residents start the 'S.I.N. (Spending It Now) Foundation,' an organization which gives to those really in need. Fearing they will lose their inheritance, her greedy son, and his shopaholic wife show up to try to have her committed for incompetence. Turning the tables, Angela shows them just how competent she is, and then shows them the door.

Auditions will be held on Monday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 13 at 8:00pm. Call backs will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 8:00pm. Rehearsals will be held between July 19 and September 9. Production dates are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm from September 10 thru October 9 with one Thursday performance on September 16 at 7:00pm. Be prepared with 16 bars of a song from a Broadway show (but not from THE DROWSY CHAPERONE), and come dressed for movement.
