Youth Fall Workshop Series Begins Soon At Theater WorksSeptember 18, 2010TWICE UPON A TIME is a fun madcap workshop for young actors in which participants will be able to explore wild characters in a hilarious play. This new workshop is designed for new and seasoned actors alike. During the sessions the children will be working on acting skills that will ultimately culminate in a final performance. Join us to see what happens when some of the most beloved fairy tales mash up into a comedic romp with Princesses, witches and handsome Princes. A great time is sure to be had by both actors and audiences alike. The fall workshop will be held at Theater Works and begins on Monday, September 27th at 4:30 p.m. and will end with the children's performance on November 22nd at 7 p.m.

Surfside Players Present BABY WITH THE BATHWATER, 10/1-10/10September 18, 2010Surfside Players, Cocoa Beach, is proud to announce Baby with the Bathwater, by Christopher Durang, one of Broadway's most provocative writers of black comedy. This time the author's target is parenthood and child-raising in the modern age. As the play begins Helen and John gaze proudly at their new offspring, a bit disappointed that it doesn't speak English and too polite to check its sex. So they decide that the child is a girl and name it Daisy-which leads to all manner of future emotional and personality problems when it turns out that Daisy is actually a boy. Through the rest of the play, the saga of Daisy's struggle to establish his identity continues, despite his parents' growing obliviousness.
