The American Theatre Wing's 71st Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, aired live from Radio City Music Hall last night, honoring theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway and wrapping up the 2016-17 awards season.

Dear Evan Hansen had a big night at the 71st Annual Tony Awards, taking home a grand total of six statues. After things wrapped up at Radio City Music Hall, the cast celebrated at the Empire Hotel. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the festivities and you can catch photos below!

Last night was the first of two nights of the 25th anniversary concert of The Secret Garden at Lincoln Center and by all reports the star-filled concert practically blew the roof off of the building. The concert performances of the TONY Award-winning musical featured a stunning Broadway and television cast, creative team, the New York City Chamber Orchestra, and a grand 200-voice chorus from across the United States. Winter Storm Jonas swept New York City yesterday, causing a Broadway shutdown. Snow or no snow, BroadwayWorld took the opportunity with the near-deserted streets to shoot some photos of the beautiful snow-covered theatres. Check out the black and white pics below!

In the wake of Winter Storm Jonas, or #Snowmageddon2016 as it has been affectionately named on social media, Broadway has been completely shut down. Of course, that didn't stop BroadwayWorld from snapping some shots of the winter wonderland!

Just last night, the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust hosted the 2015 Steinberg Playwright Awards honoring Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Dominique Morisseau at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street, New York, NY 10023). The event featured readings byJocelyn Bioh, Marc Damon Johnson, Jason Dirden, Austin Durant, Dominique Fishback, Lynda Gravatt, Nikiya Mathis, Chris Myers, Carra Patterson, Will Rogers, Michele Shay and Brian Tyree Henry.
