Westport Country Playhouse will stage Shakespeare's beguiling comic masterpiece, 'Twelfth Night, or What You Will,' directed by Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos, playing October 11 through November 5. Laughter and melancholy, gorgeous poetry and song, and endlessly delightful romantic entanglements abound in this fresh and inventive production of a timeless classic. It is the fifth of five productions in the historic theater's 80th year.

The Jewish Museum will present Ezra Jack Keats: A Creative Response, on Thursday, October 17 at 11:30 am. In this lecture, Caldecott Award-winning illustrator Jerry Pinkney shares his reflections on Ezra Jack Keats's work and the role of diversity in children's literature.

Burning Coal Theatre Company, in collaboration with The Delta Boys, continues its Wait Til You See This! (second stage) season with Brian Friel's Molly Sweeney by Brian Friel. The production will run September 29 - October 9, 2011 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC.

Improv Soup is an improvisational comedy troupe made up of teenagers from all over southeastern Massachusetts. It was started circa 1998 by Christa Crewdson (Arlington, Ma), who recently retired as the Improv Soup Director but passed the baton to two Improv Soup Alumni, Colleen Murphy (Mansfield, Ma) and Matthew Timmons (Canton, Ma), who will continue to develop Superior Soupians.

The most popular whodunit of all time, a vibrant musical version of one of the greatest pieces of literature, and a hilarious new romantic comedy are part of Moonlight Stage Productions' 22nd Winter Season at the AVO Playhouse. Between January and April 2012, audiences will enjoy Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP, the recent Broadway hit LITTLE WOMEN - THE MUSICAL, and James Sherman's modern romantic comedy BEAU JEST.

'Body and Soul' is the final recording made by Winehouse before her passing on July 23rd of this year, and is released today to mark what would have been the singer's 28th birthday. The single and video of 'Body and Soul' has also been released today on the iTunes Store to benefit The Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will open the 2011-12 season of Harlan Jacobson's Talk Cinema film series with a screening on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. The Center also will open San Francisco Opera's Grand Opera Cinema Series on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. with a screening of The Elixir of Love. Both films will be shown in the Center's Virginia G. Piper Theater.

Directed by Richard Eyre, PRIVATE LIVES will play at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) with previews beginning on Sunday November 6 and opening night set for Thursday November 17. The limited engagement runs through February 5 2012. Prior to Broadway, PRIVATE LIVES will play a limited run at Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre. 'Jericho' is a major new comic-drama by Jack Canfora that will have its world premiere at the New Jersey Repertory Company October 13 - November 13 as part of a National New Play Network rolling world premiere. Following its opening at New Jersey Rep 'Jericho' will have productions in Sarasota at the Florida Studio Theatre and the Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis.

Michael Barrett, CEO and General Director of Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, will present the third annual Caramoor Fall Festival on September 23, 24 and 25.

La Jolla Playhouse presents the world premiere of Milk Like Sugar, by Kirsten Greenidge, directed by Rebecca Taichman (Playhouse's Sleeping Beauty Wakes), running through September 25 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. Hartford Stage celebrates its 48th season with an Open House on Saturday, September 17. The event features a special performance from the theatre's current MainStage production of Arthur Miller's classic drama The Crucible. The afternoon also includes theatre facility tours given by Hartford Stage staff, a costume discussion with Costume Shop Manager Matt Smart, a discussion of the upcoming season with Senior Dramaturg Christopher Baker, and a student theatre workshop led by Hartford Stage Education staff members.
