FilmScene and The Englert Theatre Present CRAZY HORSE, 5/18May 1, 2012The newest documentary from acclaimed filmmaker Frederick Wiseman will be screened at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at The Englert Theatre. Presented by FilmScene and the Englert, the screening will be the Iowa premiere of 'Crazy Horse.' Before the film, Iowa City's own Les Dames du Burlesque will perform an opening-act routine inspired by the film.

Often overlooked today, her story and legacy will be told by Tony Award nominee Hope Clarke (Caroline or Change, Jelly's Last Jam) in the world premiere of Steve Willis' Diana Sands: A Certain Toughness of Spirit. Directed by Sue Lawless, the show begins performances May 15 at the Workshop Theatre Company's Jewel Box Theatre, at 312 West 36th Street, on the 4th floor.
