The 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival presents Central Avenue Breakdown, an American musical with music and lyrics by Kevin Ray, book by Kevin Ray and Andrea Lepcio, additional story by Suellen Vance, and directed by Christopher Windom. Central Avenue Breakdown runs July 19th at 8:00pm, July 10th at 5:00pm and 9:00pm, July 21st at 1:00pm, July 22nd at 5:00 pm and 9:00pm at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street).

Cincinnati's Pomegranates will hit the road this summer to embark on a US tour in support of their new full-length studio album Heaven - out now on Modern Outsider. The trek kicks off with a hometown show at Bunbury Music Festival on July 15thwhere they will be playing alongside a number of notable artists including Death Cab for Cutie, Neon Trees and City and Colour. This marks the band's first tour in support of the new album.

Stages Theatre Company (STC) brings Dr. Seuss to life in Seussical-Theatre for Young Audiences Version (TYA) opening June 29 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. The Palace Theatre will begin installing 489 new seats next week to replace the theater's smaller, aging seats. The new seats will have a classic aesthetic to match the historic theatre, but with modern materials and comfort for patrons. The wider seating will be configured to add 33 additional seats which will include adding an extra row in the front center of the theatre's Golden Circle Seating.

A celebration of the life of Tony Award-winning producer and noted director Burry Fredrik (1925-2012) will be hosted by Westport Country Playhouse on Sunday, July 1, 3 p.m. The tribute will be in the campus' Lucille Lortel White Barn Center's Sheffer Rehearsal Studio, 25 Powers Court, Westport, CT. A reception will follow. Fredrik died in her Weston, Connecticut home on May 22 caused by complications from a stroke she suffered over two years ago.
