American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today four of the seven shows that will comprise the lineup of the company's 47th subscription season, including 'a brilliant and visionary high-spirited musical, a seductive and sexy cat-and-mouse comedy, a newly adapted Chinese classic starring stage and screen star BD Wong, and a masterwork from acclaimed playwright George Bernard Shaw.'

The off-Broadway show OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES was featured on CBS Sunday Morning this past weekend. In the segment, correspondent Richard Schlesinger tracks the comedy of the Borscht Belt from its birth in the Catskills to its renaissance in the hit show, which has been running in New York since May and will open in Chicago this fall. Broadway In Chicago has announced TO MASTER THE ART by William Brown and Doug Frew, directed by William Brown will play the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Penumbra Theatre announced today the opening of SPUNK, adapted by George C. Wolfe from "Three Tales" by Zora Neale Hurston, music by Chic Street Man. The production will open Thursday, March 14 and run through April 7, 2013 at Penumbra Theatre.

Signature Theatre has announced a one-week extension for THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD written by David Henry Hwang and directed by May Adrales. The production will open on February 25 and will now play through Sunday, March 24 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
