The Guthrie Theater today announced a special In Conversation with Broadway producer Emanuel "Manny" Azenberg. Classical Theatre Company (CTC) will host an exhibit spanning the month of September in the Alliance Art Gallery located in the Houston Arts Alliance. The exhibit will provide a snapshot of CTC's history, featuring photographs, costumes, designer renderings, and ground plans from our past seasons. UglyRhino announces that additional performances have been added to their 3rd Annual Micro-Season at The Brooklyn Lyceum, September 6th, 7th, and 8th at 8pm. Carpenter Square Theatre will host "Best in Ten 2012," an event to benefit the theater, on Saturday, August 18. The event will be held at 800 W. Main , located at the southwest corner of Main and Shartel in downtown Oklahoma City . Proceeds from "Best in Ten" will help support the theater's building fund, as well as programming for the theatre's 29th Season, which includes eight productions and educational outreach to at-risk students in the metro area. The theme for this year's benefit is "little theatre…Big Ideas!"

Bayou City Concert Musicals will present the Houston premiere of the classic musical, One Touch of Venus, for five performances at the Heinen Theatre, 3517 Austin, September 6-9, 2012. Gobsmacked! Productions, LLC is set to launch their new season with a limited revival of Clay Edmonds' play SICKS: An Evening with Six of the Most Notorious Women in History which will run from September 11-16 at walkerspace. The play was first produced in 1996 at the Acting Studio and this production will feature direction from Clay Edmonds and Janet Jenness.

The New Ohio Theatre will present the World Premiere of The Eyes of Others, a rare production of a Bulgarian play in the United States, written by Bulgarian native Ivan Dimitrov, directed by Samuel Buggeln, translated by Angela Rodel and produced by Bug Company.
