A magical peach! An extraordinary adventure! Giant lovable insect friends! All of this and more in MSU's imaginative production of the treasured Roald Dahl family classic James and the Giant Peach. Performances will be held on October 12 - 21 at the Pasant Theatre at the Wharton Center for Performing Arts. The production runs approximately 80 minutes and is recommended for all children aged 4 to 400.

Revered in his own time as a 'monarch' of painting, Piero della Francesca (1411/13-1492) is acknowledged today as a founding figure of the Italian Renaissance. In early 2013, The Frick Collection will present the first monographic exhibition in the United States dedicated to the artist. It brings together seven works by Piero della Francesca, including six panels from the Saint' Agostino altarpiece-the largest number from this masterwork ever reassembled. They will be joined by the Virgin and Child Enthroned with Attendant

George Flanigen IV, award-winning music video director/producer and chairman of the board for the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, will launch the 2012-13 "Get Inforumed" music industry speaker series on Monday, Oct. 1 at 5 p.m. in Nunemaker Auditorium in Monroe Hall. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has announced the complete cast for its production of the award-winning musical Man of La Mancha which will begin performances on October 17th at the Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage, the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the box office at 973-408-5600 or by visiting www.ShakespeareNJ.org. Performances are Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $42 to $80; student rush tickets are available 30 minutes prior to curtain for $10.

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time Tony Award-winning play by Tony Award-nominee Rick Elice, today announced that the show will play its final Broadway performance on January 20, 2013, ending its nearly year-long run. Directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on March 28, 2012 and opened April 15, 2012, and is playing at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).

As part of its 80th season celebration, Bergen County Players (BCP) will present Neil Simon's FOOLS, a 'light, frothy, fairy tale for adults featuring Simon's brilliant use of vaudeville, slapstick, puns and wordplay.' Under the direction of Iris Weinhouse, FOOLS will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from October 20th through November 10th at The Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell, NJ. Shows will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
