Graham Nash has helped shape the world around him through ideas, innovations, and influential works of art for more than four decades. A legendary singer-songwriter, Nash is also an internationally renowned photographer and digital imaging pioneer whose work is represented-by a classic 1969 portrait of David Crosby-in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. The Art of Graham Nash, an exhibition featuring a broad range of Nash's works, opens at New York City's ACA Galleries on October 11. The gallery will host an artist's reception on Thursday, October 18 from 5-8 pm. The show-comprising 50 of Nash's photographic images, several politically themed photo assemblages and original pastel pieces-runs through October 27. Key arts and civil rights agencies in Seattle, King County and Washington State will join forces to present Arts & Social Change, a regional symposium, Oct. 12 and 13, at Seattle Center. The event addresses the role that the arts can play in creating awareness, inspiring understanding and developing policies to addess social change.

La MaMa E.T.C. presents the World Premiere of Triple Shadow's new theater production, 2 FROM THE SEA, composed of two solo adaptations of plays whose themes are based on stories of the sea: Holiday Memory by Dylan Thomas, performed by Seamus Maynard, and Riders to the Sea by John Millington Synge, performed by Mari Andrejco. Both are directed by Beth Skinner and feature live music composed and performed by Edward Herbst. Lighting design is by Bessie and Drama Desk-winner Paul Clay (RENT), and scenic design is by Obie Award-winner Jun Maeda. The three-week season runs October 18 through November 4 at La MaMa E.T.C., 74 East 4th Street, NYC.

This latest installment of the "For The Record" series will explore the themes Scorsese typically underlines in his work such as Italian American identity, Roman Catholic concepts of guilt and redemption, machismo, and modern crime, using signature songs and iconic scenes from the movies of the acclaimed director. This live, music concert will feature Scorsese's GoodFellas, The Departed, Gangs Of New York, The Aviator, Casino and many more.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced today updated casting for the 24th Annual Festival of New Musicals and for the Songwriters Showcase that Tony nominee Nancy Opel and Tony winner and NAMT alum Joe DiPietro (O. Single Carrot Theatre's sixth season opens with Drunk Enough to Say I Love You? by Caryl Churchill. Everyman Theatre will be the recipient of the prestigious "Downtown Baltimore Award" from the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore. The award will be presented to the theatre company on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore's 2012 Annual Meeting. This third and final installment of Mapping Subjectivity, organized around the theme 'Transgressions,' explores how filmmakers and artists from the Arab world have dealt with shifting attitudes towards sexuality and gender roles in the Middle East, and presents personal interpretations of the very real social transformations presently taking place throughout the region. Mapping Subjectivity looks into the region's largely unknown heritage of auteur, personal, and sometimes experimental film, highlighting kinships in sensibilities, approaches, and poetics across generations and countries.

Laura Matalon, President Allied Live, announced today that Andrew Damer will be joining the company's Touring Division as a Senior Marketing Director.
