The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announced today that its acclaimed, record-breaking production of Man of La Mancha will perform for an additional week-through Sunday, November 25th-at Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage, the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Tickets for all performances are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the box office at 973-408-5600 or by visiting www.ShakespeareNJ.org. Performances are Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. The additional week will include performances on Tuesday evening, Friday evening, Saturday matinee and evening and Sunday matinee and evening. Tickets range from $50 to $80; student rush tickets are available 30 minutes prior to curtain for $10.
New World Stages will once again present the new Holiday favorite, Jackie Hoffman's A Chanukah Charol, her holiday-themed, pseudo-autobiographical, one-woman show inspired by Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol. Co-writer Michael Schiralli will direct.
The San Francisco Early Music Society announces its annual Christmas concert performed by the Bay Area's Musica Pacifica. The distinguished chamber ensemble offers a festive tour of Christmas music from 18th-century England, France, Germany, and Italy. Special guests Clara Rottsolk, soprano, and Washington McClain, oboe, join the core group of Judith Linsenberg, recorder, Elizabeth Blumenstock, violin, Charles Sherman, harpsichord, and Josh Lee, cello and gamba. Their program will include traditional English carols, French noëls from Corrette and Charpentier, H.I.F. Biber's 'Nativity' Sonata from his famous set of 15 Mystery (or Rosary) Sonatas, Antonio Vivaldi's vivacious chamber concerto La Pastorella, and sacred sonatas and arias from Handel, Telemann, and Bach.

The Kimmel Center's Creative Music Program for Jazz continues its popular Meet the Masters series engaging 25+ regional student musicians, ages 11-17, in master class workshops led by world renowned jazz musicians. On Saturday, November 10, the Meet the Masters workshop is led by one of the top tenor saxophonists and flautists, Gary Thomas, in the Merck Arts Education Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Legendary jazz trumpeter and composer Ralph Alessi leads the master workshop on Saturday, December 22.
