Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES have announced that Joey Calveri, who currently plays the ensemble role of Joey Primo, will step into the spotlight as wild rock idol Stacee Jaxx beginning Monday, December 17 at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 W 44th Street). Andrew Call (American Idiot) will join the company as Joey Primo on December 17. Original Broadway Cast member Jeremy Woodard, who originated the role of Joey Primo off & on Broadway and has performed the role of Stacee Jaxx since September 2011, will play his final performance on Sunday, December 16.

Comedic star Alonzo Bodden has entertained crowds worldwide with his hilarious stand-up routine. This February, Bodden will take his international touring act to the Comix stage for four shows starting Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m., with additional performances Friday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for advance general admission ($30 day of show) and $40 for advance VIP admission ($50 day of show). VIP admission includes priority club access and reserved table selection before general seating begins. A two-drink minimum applies to all tickets, which are on sale now. This show is for mature audiences only.

On November 6, Musical America Worldwide announced that it would name Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel "Musician of the Year" and the founder of "El Sistema," Jose Antonio Abreu, "Educator of the Year" for 2013. The Musical America Awards, sponsored by Deutsche Grammophon, recognize artistic excellence and achievement in the arts. A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to The Fabulous Fox Theatre with performances from December 12 through January 6. Two hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Fox Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.
