EVIL DEAD Helps to Collect Dozens of Units of Blood for United Blood ServicesJanuary 8, 2013As part of the official kick off to National Blood Donor Month, the cast of Evil Dead: The Musical at V Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hosted a blood drive to benefit United Blood Services. Over the course of four hours, 53 total units were collected with 41 successful donations, more than doubling the original expectations for the event. All donors received a free pair of tickets to Evil Dead: The Musical and a comic book from MaximuM Comics.

The Houston Symphony Celebrates Louis Armstrong, 1/18-20January 8, 2013The Houston Symphony will honor the great Louis Armstrong and his musical masterpieces in a concert January 18, 19 and 20. Joining the orchestra will be Byron Stripling, a prominent figure in the modern American jazz scene. Stripling was chosen to portray Louis Armstrong himself in Broadway's Satchmo, a musical based on the life of the musician and inspired by Armstrong's musical style.
