Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view returns to Glendale by popular demand at the Alex Theatre, 216 North Brand Boulevard. The production previously sold out the Alex Theatre in January of 2011. This limited engagement will run Saturday, April 13 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) today announced the publication of Tony Kushner's critically acclaimed screenplay for Lincoln, now a major motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg. Based in part on Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, the published screenplay of Lincoln, available in both paperback and a limited edition hardcover, contains a Foreword by Kearns Goodwin and eight pages of color photos from the film.

Barter Theatre is accepting submissions of new plays for its 13th annual Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights (AFPP) taking place July 5th through August 12th, 2013. Founded in 2001, Barter's AFPP provides an outlet for new plays and playwrights with a distinctly Appalachian voice. Any original play that has not been previously published or professionally produced may be submitted for consideration by March 1, 2013.
