Arts Off Broadway is producing 'Hairspray, the Broadway Musical' at the California Center for the Arts (340 N. Escondido Blvd. Escondido, California 92025). Three performances are scheduled for Friday, March 25 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 26 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, March 27 at 2:00 PM.

The Grove Theatre announces the opening of 'Deathtroupe', an original play by Mary Willard, author of 'Moonshine', 'Occasional Sin', and 'Elvis and Juliet'. 'Deathtroupe' is a comedy with blood-curdling screams, a murderer by the name of ‘The Chopper' running loose, grilled cheese sandwiches, Jell-o, and Captain Morgan.

Shine's announcement comes on the heels of a record-breaking run of her production of The Threepenny Opera that was performed at the Intiman Theatre.
