American Composers Orchestra (ACO) will open its 2018-2019 season with a concert honoring Phenomenal Women presented by Carnegie Hall in Zankel Hall on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:30pm. The performance, conducted by ACO Music Director George Manahan, will feature the world premiere of Valerie Coleman's Phenomenal Women performed by the Imani Winds with ACO; as well as the world premiere of Alex Temple's Three Principles of Noir with singer Meaghan Burke, director Amber Treadway, and costumes by Storm Garner. Grammy and Grawemeyer Award-winning composer Joan Tower's Chamber Dance from 2006, which treats the orchestra as a chamber ensemble, completes the program.

Lifetime has greenlit two new original movies for 2019, Victoria Gotti: My Father's Daughter and a remake of the cult-classic, Death of a Cheerleader. Victoria Gotti: My Father's Daughter is co-written, narrated and executive produced by Gotti herself. Chelsea Frei (Sideswiped) takes the title role while Maurice Benard (General Hospital) stars as mob boss, John Gotti. Death of a Cheerleader features original star Emmy-nominee Kellie Martin (Haley Dean Mysteries) returning for the updated movie, inspired by the shocking murder of a popular cheerleader by a classmate. Aubrey Peeples (Nashville) and Sarah Dugdale (The Bad Seed) also star.

Ahead of its season one finale, AMC today announced that it has renewed its critically acclaimed modern fable “Lodge 49” for a second season. Wyatt Russell (“Black Mirror,” “Everybody Wants Some”) will reprise his starring role as Sean “Dud” Dudley. Creator, writer and executive producer Jim Gavin returns as does Peter Ocko (“Pushing Daisies,” “The Office”) as executive producer and showrunner. Additional executive producers include Paul Giamatti (“Billions,” Sideways, “Outsiders,” “Hoke”), Dan Carey (“Outsiders,” “Hoke,” John Dies at the End, All Is Bright), and Jeff Freilich (“Halt and Catch Fire,” “Grace and Frankie”). The second season of “Lodge 49” will go into production and will air on AMC in 2019 with 10 episodes. “Lodge 49” is an AMC Studios production.
