On its 3rd night (Wednesday, 10/17/18) broadcasting from the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House, ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” grew to its highest-rated telecast of the week among Adults 18-49 (0.6/4) in the 25 LPM Markets, building by 50% over Tuesday (0.4/3) and by 20% over Monday (0.5/4). “Kimmel” grew over the week-ago night by 20% to score its top-rated Wednesday telecast in 9 months (excluding the one NBA Finals-led broadcast in June) – since 1/17/18.

“Live with Kelly and Ryan” always sets the standard for Halloween, and this year, daytime duo Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest will prove that what's old is definitely new again when they present “Live's Best Halloween Show Ever: the ReBOOOOt” on Oct. 31.

The Country Music Association has selected rising stars Kassi Ashton, Travis Denning and Jameson Rodgers as recipients of the first-ever CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship. Freeform announced today that Bette Midler will join Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker for the network's “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash,” an all-star party in honor of the cult classic film's milestone anniversary. The two-hour special, filmed at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery to celebrate the movie's status as a Halloween staple, will premiere on SATURDAY, OCT. 20 at 8:15-10:15 p.m. EDT/PDT, as part of Freeform's “31 Nights of Halloween” programming event. 

NBC has ordered three more episodes of the hit freshman drama “Manifest,” has received three more episodes from NBC.  This brings the episode count for season one up to 16. 

Active shooter drills have become a normal part of life for many students in the United States. Beverly Gardens Elementary School, next to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, in Riverside, Ohio, began holding shooter drills shortly after the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre. Beverly Gardens is also one of a small number of schools nationwide that actively trains and arms some of its staff.

GKIDS, the acclaimed producer and distributor of multiple Academy Award®-nominated animated features, and Fathom Events are proud to announce the U.S. debut of “Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki.” This documentary follows the formerly-retired film director and animator Hayao Miyazaki as he experiments for the first time with CGI. Miyazaki is a Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author, and manga artist. In 1985 he co-founded Studio Ghibli and went on to direct highly influential and acclaimed animated films such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and My Neighbor Totoro – which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2003. Miyazaki's critical and commercial success continued through his final run of films including Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, and The Wind Rises. After the 2013 release of The Wind Rises, at the age of 72, he announced his retirement from directing, however his endlessly inventive mind has turned toward new creative avenues. The documentary explores the life and career of Miyazaki as he returns to work to create his short film Boro the Caterpillar using CGI. 

Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn will star in 'Arkansas,' according to Variety. The film is Clark Duke's feature directorial debut, which Duke wrote and will also appear in.

The Madison Square Garden Company announced that Steely Dan kicked off their nine-night residency last night at the Beacon Theatre and will continue performances throughout the month of October including October 18, 20, 21, 24, 26, 27, 29 & 30 at 8:00pm each night.  Their last show during the run on Tuesday, October 30th will mark their 60th performance at the legendary venue.  Tickets are on-sale now.

The holidays are about to get a whole lot brighter with ABC's immensely popular decorating competition series, “The Great Christmas Light Fight,” premiering MONDAY, NOV. 26 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST). Produced by Fremantle, the hit holiday series is back for a sixth season with returning celebrity judges: lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse and interior designer Taniya Nayak. Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents of Production, Film and Television Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum announced that principal photography on READY OR NOT has begun in Toronto, Canada.  The film stars Samara Weaving (THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI, “Picnic at Hanging Rock”), Adam Brody (CHIPS, SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE), Mark O'Brien (ARRIVAL, “Halt and Catch Fire”), with Henry Czerny (“Sharp Objects,” THE A-TEAM) and Andie MacDowell (FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL, SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE). Of the Radio Silence team (SOUTHBOUND), Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are directing with Chad Villella executive producing. The script is written by Guy Busick (URGE) & Ryan Murphy (MINUTES PAST MIDNIGHT). Anthony Rapp came forward with his story of being sexually assaulted a year ago. Rapp alleged that in 1986 Kevin Spacey, then 26, made unwanted sexual advances toward him when he was 14 years old. One year later, Rapp reflects on coming forward.

The 2019 ADG Awards, themed “Production Design: Landscape of the Imagination,” will be held at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown in the Wilshire Grand Ballroom on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
