Behind every song, there's a songwriter who weds the music and the lyrics together in a fresh way, and Songwriting University was created to pair hit songwriters with established and aspiring writers. In addition, the company will be partnering with universities and colleges across the country to provide students with a creative songwriting outlet. The Nashville-based company is helmed by hit tunesmiths Billy Sprague and Joe Beck and entrepreneur and publisher Gary Glover. 

Muse's new album Simulation Theory is available now via Warner Bros. Records. The eleven-track album was produced by the band, along with several award-winning producers, including Rich Costey, Mike Elizondo, Shellback and Timbaland. To celebrate the release of Simulation Theory, Muse will be performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 13th and will also perform an intimate set at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City on November 14th, broadcasting live on YouTube at 7pm ET.

Amazon Prime Video today announced it will premiere a Christmas episode of its hit kids series Pete The Cat on November 20 in the US and UK. Pete The Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas features all-new Christmas music from iconic singers Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz, among others. Based on the popular book series, Pete The Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas features the voices of Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Jessica Biel, and Jacob Tremblay.

Bravo Media's 'Shahs of Sunset' delivers the most revealing reunion yet, as the feisty friend group is growing in more ways than one. Beginning Thursday, November 15 at 9pm ET/PT, host Andy Cohen joins Golnesa 'GG' Gharachedaghi, Mercedes 'MJ' Javid, Destiney Rose, Mike Shouhed, Reza Farahan, and newcomer Nema Vand as they look back on a wildly emotional season. Netflix concluded its inaugural content event in Asia, “See What's Next: Asia” with a celebration of the company's rapidly growing diverse content slate in India. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings and chief content officer Ted Sarandos joined performers and creators from India to announce eight original films and a new original series. The showcase also included updates on four Indian original series that were previously announced.

Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger announced today that Lucasfilm is in development on a second Star Wars live-action series for Disney+, the Company's new direct-to-consumer streaming service.

The Walt Disney Company's new direct-to-consumer streaming service will be called Disney+. Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger revealed the service's name today during a live audio webcast of Disney's fiscal full year and fourth quarter 2018 financial results. Disney+ is scheduled to launch in the U.S. in late 2019.

The 31st Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF), held from October 25 to November 3, concluded with the announcement of winners at the Award Ceremony on its 9th day of the festival. This year, TIFF screened 181 films and 62,125 film fans (not including last day's turnout) attended the screenings. The Tokyo Grand Prix was awarded to 'Amanda' directed by Mikhael Hers. NBC has partnered with Universal Brand Development and the LEGO Group for the upcoming debut of a two-part animated special: “LEGO® Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit.” The all-new animated special – inspired by the blockbuster Jurassic World franchise – will air Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Manoa Valley Theatre continues its momentous 50th anniversary season with the expansion of its Studio Series with the Island Treasure Music and Comedy Series. Adding on to the already popular regular appearances by the Hotclub of Hulaville, the next of which are January 28 and 29, the theatre will present some of Hawaii's favorite entertainers in a six-part subscription series beginning in November with the incomparable Shari Lynn and running through August of 2019.

Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, Inc. (“CSS Entertainment”) (Nasdaq: CSSE), a growing media company building online video-on-demand (“VOD”) networks that provides positive and entertaining video content for all screens, today announced that the Boniuk Foundation will sponsor a fourth season of its series Chicken Soup for the Soul's Hidden Heroes.

The CW Network has ordered additional episodes for all three of its fall freshman series, including nine additional episodes of CHARMED, and three additional episodes each of ALL AMERICAN and LEGACIES, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. With these additional episodes, CHARMED will finish its first season with 22 episodes, and ALL AMERICAN and LEGACIES will have 16 episodes each for their first season runs.

Pulse Films and Paramount Television have announced today a deal to option the rights to journalist Dan Hancox's acclaimed non-fiction book Inner City Pressure for Television. The project is set to be produced by Pulse Films' Thomas Benski, Lucas Ochoa and Sam Bridger. HarperCollins published the book in May of this year.

AMC has viewers covered this holiday season with “AMC Best Christmas Ever,” its largest slate of holiday programming ever featuring 35 films and 18 specials, airing all day, every day. Beginning Monday, November 26 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming marathon will offer up more than 600 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films, as well as the television debut of Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You (2017). AMC will be the exclusive home to Christmas favorites including Elf, The Polar Express and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation as well as 12 classic Christmas specials from the legendary Rankin/Bass production company, including The Year Without a Santa Claus, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Jack Frost, Rudolph's Shiny New Year and Frosty's Winter Wonderland, among many others.   

Adam Savage will return to television as host and executive producer of MythBusters Jr., when the new Science Channel series premieres on Wednesday, January 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. For the ten-episode series Savage has teamed-up with six of the nation's leading young 'makers', robotics wizzes, builders, and inventors, all under the age of 16, who show off their amazing ingenuity and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) skills.

Lively McCabe Entertainment has announced it has entered into a new agreement with BMG. The deal grants the production company, recently launched by producer Michael Barra, access to BMG's vast music publishing catalogue to develop new multimedia entertainment projects across various platforms including the live stage, as well as films, television, and digital media.

Netflix today revealed the teaser and first look images of the new original documentary series Our Planet (Netflix.com/OurPlanet), which will launch globally on Netflix on April 5, 2019. The ambitious series has been created in collaboration with Silverback Films, whose director Alastair Fothergill was the creator of the critically acclaimed original Planet Earth and Blue Planet series, and WWF, the world's leading conservation organization.

As part of a North American Tour in support of his new Solo Anthology release, Lindsey Buckingham will be performing at the Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) on Saturday, December 8.  Opening for Mr. Buckingham is J.S Ondara.
