CBS today announced the 21 performers participating in the 2019 CBS DIVERSITY SKETCH COMEDY SHOWCASE which will begin its run of six shows on Jan. 15 at the El Portal Theatre in Los Angeles.

Great Performances: The Cleveland Orchestra Centennial Celebrationcommemorates the centennial of the orchestra's founding with a gala concert conducted by music director Franz Welser-Möst featuring works touching on more than a century of Viennese musical traditions. World-renowned, Grammy-nominated pianist Lang Langjoins the orchestra in a special performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24. The concert also features “Die Frau Ohne Schatten” (The Woman Without a Shadow), Symphonic Fantasy by Richard Strauss and Maurice Ravel's viscerally cataclysmic “La Valse (The Waltz),” which dramatically evokes the changing artistic worlds between the 19th and 20th centuries.

 BBC AMERICA's Killing Eve will return for its highly-anticipated second season on Sunday, April 7th at 8pm/7c, the network announced today. Sandra Ohand Jodie Comer reprise their critically-acclaimed performances as Eve (Oh), an MI6 operative, and psychopath assassin Villanelle (Comer) in this story of two women, bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act. Beginning just after the end of the final episode of season one, Villanelle has disappeared, and Eve is left reeling, having no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead. With both of them in deep trouble, Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does…but unfortunately, she's not the only person looking for her. Killing Eve finished out 2018 as the top drama on Metacritic's “TV Shows Mentioned On Most Critic Top 10 Lists – 2018.” The series is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd.

Maya de Vitry morphs and emerges with her own sound on Adaptations, her first full-length album following the disbanding of critically-acclaimed string band, The Stray Birds. Out January 25th, Adaptations was born in solitude but ultimately celebrates authentic human connection and the possibilities of vulnerability. Written and recorded in 2016 and 2017, Maya found herself drawing from a new well, and reckoning with a body of work that patiently asked to live under her own name -- and she also found herself facing the difficult growth required of her to fully live her way into these particular songs. Lindsay Lou, Courtney Hartman, and Oliver Wood, to name a few, were eager to lend a hand and a voice to the project. To pre-order the album and hear the first two tracks of Adaptations, click here. 

Acclaimed film, television, and stage star Taye Diggs will host the 24th annual Critics' Choice Awards, the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced today.  Diggs is currently starring in The CW drama “All American” and was recently seen in the romantic comedy “Set It Up.”
