On January 31, 2019 The Iridium will host a tribute show commemorating the 60th anniversary of “The Day the Music Died.” THE NIGHT THE MUSIC LIVED recreates the last concert by the rock 'n' roll legends lost in the infamous plane crash on February 3, 1959, and features Todd Meredith as Buddy Holly, John Rodriguez as Ritchie Valens, and Chuck Caruso as The Big Bopper, performing classics like 'That'll Be The Day,' 'Peggy Sue,' 'It's So Easy,' 'La Bamba,' 'Donna,' and 'Chantilly Lace.”  Rockabilly band The Rave-Ons will be also be performing as well as other special guests.

These Wicked Things is the fourth release from the determinedly eclectic Boston-based band Beat Circus and the final installment in singer/multi-instrumentalist/composer Brian Carpenter's “Weird American Gothic” trilogy. The record bridges a number of disparate genres including experimental music, cowpunk, post-punk, Mexican folk music, mariachi music, and Italian giallo soundtracks. The University of Notre Dame's Department of Film, Television, and Theatre (FTT) announces the 30th Annual Notre Dame Student Film Festival, in the Browning Cinema at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, January 25 through 27.  As in recent years, audience members are invited to vote for their favorite film via text message. The Audience Choice Award will be presented to the student directors of the winning film after the final screening. 

 The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) has announced nominations for the 23rd Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos and animation features. American Cinema Editors (ACE), the honorary society of the world's top film editors, today announced nominations for the 69th Annual ACE Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in 11 categories of film, television and documentaries. Winners will be revealed during ACE's annual black-tie awards ceremony on Friday, Feb. 1 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel and will be presided over by ACE President, Stephen Rivkin, ACE.  Final ballots open Jan. 11 and close on Jan. 21.  More information on the ACE Eddie Awards is available on the ACE website.
