CBS today announced premiere dates for drama series airing this summer, including the new action-adventure series BLOOD & TREASURE; the seventh and final season of the modern day Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson drama, ELEMENTARY; and the second season of INSTINCT, starring Alan Cumming and Bojana Novakovic.

TODAY was the number-one morning show last week topping “Good Morning America” in the key demo A25-54. The win marks 169 consecutive weeks in first place, TODAY's best demo streak in more than six years. TODAY also won in total viewers last Friday and was the only morning show to grow in total viewers and in the demo week over week. Additionally, versus a year ago, TODAY improved its margins over GMA, growing its demo lead by 23% and narrowing the total viewer gap by 61%.

Emmy-nominated actor Hugh Dancy (Hannibal) will guest star in a multi-episode arc on the award-winning drama series HOMELAND, starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Claire Danes and Emmy and Tony® winner Mandy Patinkin. Dancy will recur as John Zabel, a savvy Washington consultant who joins the White House as a new foreign-policy advisor to the President and a formidable opponent to Saul Berenson (Patinkin). The acclaimed series is currently in production on its eighth and final season and will premiere later this year.

Pamela Adlon's comedy series “Better Things” has been renewed by FX for a fourth season according to Variety.

Airing opposite NBC's “The Voice” from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's “American Idol” built on its week-earlier Monday premiere Fast Affiliate numbers by 5% in Total Viewers (6.3 million vs. 6.0 million) and by 9% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5 vs. 1.1/5), which adjusted up in the National ratings by 60,000 viewers and by 1-tenth among young adults. Also based on the Fast Affiliate ratings, “Idol” narrowed the Adult 18-49 gap week to week with NBC's “The Voice” to 4-tenths of a rating point, versus 6-tenths the prior week at this time.
